An important event in strengthening cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the law enforcement sphere was the working meeting between the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police General Vladimir Kolokoltsev and the Minister of Public Security of the DPRK, Colonel General Pan Du Sob, which took place at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on September 2, 2025.

«The traditions of friendship and cooperation between our peoples, laid down by several previous generations, today form the basis for the development of good-neighborly relations between Russia and the DPRK», - noted Vladimir Kolokoltsev. He stressed that in modern conditions, when the world is witnessing a revival of revanchist sentiments, preserving the historical memory of the feat of the Soviet and Korean peoples in the fight against Nazism during World War II is of the utmost importance.

According to the parties, a key role in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and the DPRK is played by joint resolution of national security issues. The Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Russian Federation and the DPRK, signed by the leaders of both countries in June 2024 in Pyongyang, made it possible to achieve important practical results, including in the law enforcement sphere.

The meeting resulted in the heads of delegations signing an interdepartmental cooperation agreement, which should facilitate the transition to a qualitatively new level of development of relations between Russia and North Korea.

After the negotiations, a festive concert was held. Accompanied by the Central Concert Orchestra of the Russian Police under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, Honored Artist of Russia, Police Colonel Felix Aranovsky, songs of the war years, works by Soviet and Korean composers, Russian folk songs, and modern patriotic compositions were performed.

The soloist of the Academic Order "For Merit in Culture and Art" song and dance ensemble of the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Grigory Yakovlev performed the following works: a march-song about the commander Kim Il Sung (in Korean) and the song "Russia and Korea: Friendship Forever" (music by A. Evsyukov, lyrics by A. Novozhilova).

The concert also featured People's Artist of Russia Anita Tsoi, soloists of the Central Concert Orchestra of the Russian Police Ksenia Dezhneva, Alexey Baranyuk and Vladislav Kosarev.
