The punk rock band Sektor Gaza, which was founded at the end of the Soviet era, is a true phenomenon of the Russian rock scene. Today, it is experiencing a second wave of popularity. The band's unique style is characterized by sincerity, simplicity, a lack of pretentiousness, and a rare combination of drama and humor, which makes it appealing to millions of Russians from different generations.

"Symphony of the Gaza Strip" is the name of the concert held in honor of this legendary band on November 1, 2025, at the State Kremlin Palace.

The GKD's Grand Hall, designed for 6,000 spectators, was overflowing with people. Muscovites and guests of the capital, people of different ages, nationalities, and social groups, came to immerse themselves in the world of their favorite hits in a new, exciting symphonic sound. Among the audience were participants in the Special Military Operation and combat veterans.

The stage of one of the most prestigious theater and concert venues in the world was taken by the first guitarist of the band Igor Kushchev, the guitarist of the "golden" concert band "Sector of Gaza" of the early nineties Vladimir Lobanov with the band "Yava" , the backing vocalist of the band Tatyana Fateeva (who was also the host of the evening), the star of the band's most acclaimed album "Koschei the Immortal" Irina Pukhonina, and the leader of the band "Mongol Shuudan" Valery Skoroded.

The concert was attended by the RockestraLive Symphony Orchestra (conductor – Sergey Akimov) and the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Arts Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation under the direction of the Artistic and Chief Conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Hero of Labor of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.

The hits of "the most popular band of the nineties", as "Gaza Sector" is called, were played: "Kolkhozny Punk", which became the unofficial anthem of the band, "Lyrics", "Bum", "Dove", "Plough-Woo", "30 Years", "Demobilization", "Walpurgis Night", "Aria of Baba Yaga" and other acute social songs of the founder and permanent leader of the band Yuri Khoy (Yuri Nikolaevich Klinskikh).

Two compositions – the allegorical “Fog” and the deeply lyrical anti-war song “It’s Time to Go Home” – were performed by the choir of the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the Russian National Guard, accompanied by the RockestraLive symphony orchestra. The themes of war, love, and separation, as well as the simple joys of life and the warmth of human relationships, left a lasting impression on everyone who attended the “Symphony of Sector Gaza” concert at the State Kremlin Palace. Filled with deep meanings and metaphors, this song blurs the boundaries between genres, mixing rock, punk and folk, has become an anthem for an entire generation. Artistic director and chief conductor of the Rosgvardiya Ensemble, People's Artist of Russia, Hero of Labor of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev was at the conductor's desk. Together with the artists of the Ensemble, the whole hall sang it standing up.

Without exaggeration, we can say that the concert "Symphony Sector Gaza" at the State Kremlin Palace and especially the performance of the choir of the Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard of Russia under the direction of Viktor Eliseev were a resounding success with the audience.
