"Happy birthday,"Yeliseyevtsy"! The ensemble celebrates its 51st anniversary

The date - July 3 - has a special meaning for the team of the Academic Order "For Merit in Culture and Art" Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev. The ensemble, which is world famous as one of the largest army musical and choreographic art groups in Russia, celebrates today the 51st anniversary of its foundation.

All of the Ensemble's long-term activities are dedicated to educating Russians in the spirit of patriotism, loyalty to the historical heritage and historical mission of the Russian army.

The creation of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation in 2016 gave a new impetus to the group's activities.

The main theme in the Ensemble's work is the theme of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The Ensemble annually holds charity concert tours of Russian cities dedicated to the celebration of the Great Victory, performs for veterans, takes part in festive events, including the International educational and patriotic action "Victory Dictation", in charity public-patriotic events: "Thank you for your loyalty, descendants!", "Hello, country of heroes!", "We will live!" and many others.

The ensemble performed in gala concerts dedicated to the inauguration of the President of Russia, at international meetings of heads of state at the highest level, such as the summit of the heads of Russia and North Korea on Russky Island (2019) and a concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation with China (2021).

The ensemble regularly participates in professional holidays, supports with its art the performances of Russian athletes as part of large-scale sporting events, participates in anniversary events in honor of famous public and political figures and representatives of the creative intelligentsia of Russia.

One of the priority areas of the concert and touring activities of the Ensemble is the regular performances of the ensemble in front of the personnel of the Russian Guard troops.

Among the most striking events in the cultural life of the capital in 2024 is the concert of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian National Guard held in April, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of the National Guard Troops and the Department of Tactics and Operational Art of the National Guard Troops of the Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation named after M.V. Frunze, as well as the concert held in June, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Separate Operational Purpose Division named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation.

The group attaches great importance to concerts held for servicemen of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation in their permanent deployment locations. Among the largest touring events of the Ensemble are large concert tours of the federal districts of the Russian National Guard troops: North Caucasus, Volga, South. In early July, the group returned from a large tour of the cities of Crimea. The "Eliseevtsy" were applauded by residents of Sevastopol, Yalta, Evpatoria, Simferopol, Kerch.

Despite the truly nationwide love and popularity, the group is actively working to improve its performing skills. The artists of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev are in constant search of new expressive means, new ideas for creating vocal and choreographic numbers and concert programs.
