Among the many sources of strength in modern Russia, a special place is occupied by the revival of centuries-old state traditions. One of them has become the annual (since 2007) celebration of Heroes of the Fatherland Day - it was on these December days that the Russian Empire celebrated the Day of the Cavaliers of St. George.

As part of the ceremonial events dedicated to Heroes of the Fatherland Day, on December 8, 2024, a pre-premiere screening of the patriotic drama "Aldan" was held at the National Center "Russia" in Moscow. The film, based on real events, is dedicated to the memory of the heroes of the special military operation, including the memory of Russian war correspondents who died in the line of duty during the SVO. The authors of the plot idea and the general producers of the film were Danil Kulikov and Ivan Okhlobystin, the authors of the script - Roman Vladykin and Danil Kulikov, director - Dmitry Koltsov. Along with Yakut actors, the film also stars Russian cinema - Ivan Okhlobystin, Dmitry Dyuzhev; Olga Krasko, one of the roles was played by the former American, and now Russian athlete (mixed martial arts fighter) and public figure Jeff Monson.

"Aldan" became the first interregional film project of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Zaporozhye region. The idea of ​​creating a film, proposed by the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolayev, was supported by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The actors who played the main roles, the heads of the regions, as well as public figures and representatives of the Russian Government spoke at the pre-premiere screening. Among the guests of the event was the prototype of the main character, Nikolai Potapov, deputy commander of the medical platoon, military doctor of the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, awarded the Order of Courage.

Speaking before the start of the film screening, Aisen Nikolaev emphasized that culture is an integral part of the country's sovereignty. "Today it is absolutely necessary to convey to people the truth about the special military operation, the truth about the values ​​​​that we protect, including through art, cinema," Nikolaev noted.

"The Republic of Yakutia is a very close region for us, although it is very far away," said the governor of the Zaporizhia region Yevgeny Balitsky— Today, we have to defend together the same values ​​that our grandfathers and great-grandfathers defended together during the Great Patriotic War."

Before the screening, guests of the event, representatives of the People's Front, wives of servicemen and young army members wrote wishes and warm words for Russian soldiers on flags. All these wishes will be sent to the front.

The highlight of the pre-premiere screening of the film "Aldan" was the performance of the Academic Order "For Merit in Culture and Art" Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev. The choir artists of the famous group performed the song "Russian Tank "Alësha"" (music and lyrics by Konstantin Gubin, soloist - Yuri Kononov)

The film is scheduled to be released in cinemas around the country on the memorable date - February 24, 2025. Part of the proceeds from the rental will be sent to support the participants of the Special Military Operation and to create a new film about the SVO.

One of the largest military artistic groups in the country, the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Art Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by its artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Hero of Labor of Russia, Major General Viktor Yeliseyev, places great importance on its charitable concert activities. The Ensemble's artists perform for military personnel and employees of the National Guard, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants in the special military operation, and their families, as well as for soldiers undergoing treatment in hospitals and residents of various regions of the country as part of patriotic and social initiatives. A significant event in the cultural life of the capital was the charity concert of the Ensemble, held on June 9, 2026, in the Cathedral Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. This is the fourth charity evening organized by the Moscow City Organization of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education as part of the "Support Our!" campaign.
