One of the most glorious traditions in the cultural life of modern Russia is the annual International Kremlin Charity Cadet Ball.

The ball was held for the first time in December 2016 and was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Heroes of the Fatherland Day, the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow, and the 120th anniversary of Marshal Georgy Zhukov's birth.

On December 10, 2025, the Moscow Gostiny Dvor hosted the anniversary, Tenth International Kremlin Charity Cadet Ball – it was timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. Since 2022, the ball has also been held in support of the special military operation.

The ball was attended by 3,400 young men and women from various regions of the country and 62 foreign countries, including students from cadet corps and schools, Suvorov and Nakhimov military schools, and social institutions for children without parental care. Many of the participants have family members and friends who are currently serving in the special military operation zone.

The holiday was attended by military personnel from the Special Military Operation, Heroes of the Soviet Union and Heroes of the Russian Federation, public, political, and religious figures, and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions.

At the opening ceremony of the event, the Hero of Russia Alexey Romanov read out a greeting to the participants of the ball from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, in which he expressed gratitude to the organizers and emphasized the importance of the event for the upbringing of the younger generation. The President expressed confidence that the ball would continue to serve the strengthening of the cadet brotherhood and the preservation of national historical traditions.

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, read out an address to the participants of the ball by the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov. The congratulation of the Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, the Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, Viktor Zolotov, was read out by the Deputy Head of the Ministry, Colonel General Yuri Averin. The participants of the ball were also greeted by the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin, and the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Andrey Belousov.

All the appeals noted that the International Kremlin Charity Cadet Ball makes a significant contribution to ensuring the connection between generations and preserving Russia's glorious military traditions, promotes the patriotic, spiritual, moral and cultural education of the younger generation, and contributes to the unity of future defenders of the Fatherland.

At the end of the gala event, a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Cadet Ball, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Denis Maydanov performed his own song "Russian Cadet", which he had specially written for this event.

According to the long-standing tradition, the concert program was attended by the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Arts Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Hero of Labor of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.

The Ensemble's choir performed a medley of soldiers' songs "Soldiers' Suite" arranged by A. Kukharenko and the original song "I Was Born in the Soviet Union" by People's Artist of the Russian Federation Oleg Gazmanov (soloists: Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Dmitriev and Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Alexey Kholyavko).

The ballroom dancers performed classic ballroom dances, including polonaises, waltzes, quadrilles, pas de graces, mazurkas, polkas, krakowiaks, and other historical dances.

The tenth International Kremlin Charity Cadet Ball will undoubtedly be remembered by all its participants and guests as a bright celebration of youth, grace, and nobility.
