The ensemble performed at the opening ceremony of the 557th meeting of the Federation Council Of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation

These days, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is celebrating its 30th anniversary. This period of the country's highest legislative body's activity is inextricably linked to the formation of modern Russian statehood and the strengthening of its democratic and constitutional foundations.

"Over the years, the Federation Council has played an enormous role in the development of our country and society, the formation of the legislative framework, the strengthening of the potential of Russian regions, and the resolution of key economic and social issues, as well as in the fields of science, education, healthcare, and culture. Today, as we face global challenges, the active support provided by the Federation Council members to the participants of the special military operation, as well as to the residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, deserves our deepest respect. I am convinced that your competence, responsible approach to work, and constructive interaction with the executive branch, political parties, and public associations will continue to enable you to work creatively and with full dedication for the benefit of Russia and our people," said Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, in his welcoming address to the senators of the upper house of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

The 557th meeting of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of its establishment, was held on December 13, 2023.

At the solemn opening of the meeting, the National Anthem of the Russian Federation was performed by the choir of the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and the Arts of the Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.
