Leonid Gaidai... Everyone in our country knows the name of this outstanding film director. Leonid Gaidai's films have long become a part of our daily lives. The films created by this outstanding comedic filmmaker, such as "Operation Y" and Other Adventures of Shurik," "The Caucasian Captive or New Adventures of Shurik," "The Diamond Arm," "The Twelve Chairs," "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession," "It Can't Be!" and others, are considered classics of Russian cinema. They are loved by millions of people of all ages, and they are watched over and over again, each time enjoying the witty jokes and amazing adventures of the characters.

The film concert "Gaidai-100". held on December 14, 2023 at the State Kremlin Palace was special – it was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of film director, People's Artist of the USSR Leonid Gaidai.

The concert was attended by People's Artists of Russia Vladimir Vinokur, Yefim Shifrin, Alexander Malinin, Dmitry Kharatyan, and Alexander Buynov, Honored Artists of Russia Natalya Varley, Alexander Oleshko, Mikhail Shufutinsky, Dmitry Dyuzhev, popular artists Irina Dubtsova, Soso Pavliashvili, Igor Mirkurbanov, Aglaya Shilovskaya, Elchin Azizov, Gleb Matveychuk, the Duna band, Maxim Nedolechko's ballet, the Bel Suono piano trio, Nastasya Samburskaya, Lyusya Chebotina, and other artists.

The concert was also attended by Alexander Zatsepin, a People's Artist of Russia and a composer who has written music for many of the director's films.

"The Song about Rabbits", "The January Blizzard Rings Out", "Help Me", "The Island of Bad Luck", "The Song about Bears", "If I Were a Sultan", "Conversation with Happiness", and other hits by Alexander Zatsepin were performed by the Russian State Symphony Orchestra of Cinematography (conducted by Sergey Skripka, People's Artist of Russia). The concert hall's screen displayed a video featuring famous Soviet actors.

A musical gift for the 100th anniversary of Leonid Gaidai was the participation in the film concert of the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and the Arts of the Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation under the direction of the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.

Accompanied by the Rosgvardia Ensemble Choir, Elchin Azizov performed the song "Marusya" by composer Alexander Zatsepin, based on the lyrics by Leonid Derbenyov from the comedy film "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession."

The film concert was hosted by Alexander Oleshko, an Honored Artist of Russia, and Aglaya Shilovskaya.

The film concert was organized with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
