«Life is for Russia, honor is for no one» – today, when the cadet movement is being revived in Russia, this motto takes on a special meaning.

The history of Russian cadet corps begins on February 17, 1732 - it was on this day that the Russian Empress Anna Ioannovna approved the plan for the organization of the presented by Field Marshal Minikh. style="color: #020c22; background: #fefefe;">"Cadet Corps of the Noble Children" in St. Petersburg. Since then, February 17 is considered Russian Cadet Day.

At all times, cadet corps trained true citizens of their country, brought up in the spirit of nobility, military honor, camaraderie and selfless devotion to their homeland.

The students of the Moscow Presidential Cadet School named after M.A. Sholokhov of the National Guard of the Russian Federation value the honor of their educational institution. In addition to general education subjects, the cadets study the basics of military service, master drill training, learn shooting, sambo, hand-to-hand combat, participate in olympiads and creative competitions, and even master the art of dance. The School pays special attention to the patriotic and moral education of the cadets.

On the eve of Cadet Day, on February 16, 2024, a concert of the Academic Order "For Merit in Culture and Art" Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard of the Russian Federation was held at the Moscow Presidential Cadet School named after M.A. Sholokhov of the Russian National Guard Troops.

The concert was opened by the song "Workers' Wars" (E. Shiryaev - I. Reznik) performed by the choir and orchestra of the Ensemble.

The concert program was based on patriotic works and songs on military themes:  "Song of a Frontline Driver" (B. Mokrousov - B. Laskin, soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Evgeny Yakhin), "Cadet Waltz" (D. Tukhmanov - P. Sinyavsky, soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Kirill Nikitin), Russian folk song "The Cossack Galloped" (soloist - Dmitry Dolgy), "Cranes" (Y. Frenkel - R. Gamzatov, soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Alexey Kholyavko), "Smuglyanka" (A. Novikov - Ya. Shvedov, soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Grigory Yakovlev), "I See Wonderful Freedom" (A. Polyachek - F. Savinov, soloist - Honored Artist of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Alexander Kokhov), "For Donbass" (S. Voitenko - A. Ganichev, soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Alexey Kholyavko), vocal and choreographic composition "Valor and Honor" (music and lyrics by A. Zaitsev, production by Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Ivan Zhelnov, soloist - Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Dmitriev).

No one was left indifferent by the sparkling dance numbers: "Narasapshku" and "Gypsy Dance".

The concert, according to tradition, ended with the march "Farewell of Slavyanka" (V. Agapkin, A. Fedotov) performed by the choir and orchestra of the Ensemble.

Pupils and teachers of the Moscow Presidential Cadet School named after M.A. Sholokhov awarded the artists of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Guard with stormy, prolonged applause.
