Protecting human rights and freedoms, combating crime, and ensuring the rule of law are of utmost importance in any state. International cooperation and coordination of law enforcement efforts between different countries play a crucial role in achieving these goals.

In 2025, it will be 30 years since the establishment of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Over the years, the Council has established itself as a reliable intergovernmental organization that ensures cooperation between the prosecutor's offices of the CIS countries in order to uphold the rule of law and order in all the countries of the Commonwealth.

On October 21, 2025, at the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the heads of delegations of the General Prosecutor's Offices of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, who had arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the 35th meeting of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General. The Leader of the Nation emphasized that the holding of this meeting as part of Tajikistan's chairmanship was particularly significant due to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS member states. He noted the important role of the prosecutor's office in strengthening the rule of law and order, emphasizing that over the past three decades, a reliable system of cooperation in these areas has been established in the Commonwealth countries.

The President expressed his satisfaction with the results of the recent meetings of the CIS Council of Heads of State and the Central Asia-Russia summit held in Dushanbe. In conclusion, he expressed confidence that the results of the 35th meeting of the Coordination Council would contribute to the expansion of cooperation and the effective exchange of experience between the prosecutor general's offices of the CIS member states.
