The ensemble took part in a festive concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victorious military Parade on Red Square on June 24, 1945.

In the year of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, various solemn events are held throughout the country. Their goal is to preserve the living connection between the past and the present, and to make the memory of the war not abstract, but personal for every Russian.

One of the most impressive events of this year was the event organized by the Committee of Public Relations and Youth Policy of the City of Moscow, which took place on June 24, 2025, on Red Square. It was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory Parade on Red Square (June 24, 1945). As a reminder, 24 marshals, 249 generals, more than 2,500 officers, and more than 30,000 sergeants and privates marched in a solemn procession across Red Square. 200 captured Nazi flags were thrown at the foot of the Mausoleum. The 1945 Victory Parade laid the foundation for one of the most significant traditions in celebrating our nation's victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Red Square has turned into a unique open-air immersive museum these days. Consisting of several themed areas – “Moscow Welcomes Victory”, “Victory Train”, “We are from Berlin”, “Victory Park”, the exhibition transported visitors to the victorious year of 1945.

Performances by artists who sang war-time songs and works by Soviet composers dedicated to the war helped create an atmosphere of a truly national holiday.

The Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Arts Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General, Hero of Labor of Russia Viktor Eliseev

The artists of the renowned military band performed songs that are an integral part of every performance by the Band:

– The Farewell of the Slav (V. Agapkin – A. Fedotov), which has long become a symbol of the Russian spirit and is inseparable from the history of the Fatherland;

– The legendary "Smuglyanka" (A. Novikov – Y. Shvedov, soloist – Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Grigory Yakovlev) – translated into many languages of the world, in 2019 "Smuglyanka" was included in the list of Russia's cultural heritage;

– "The Artillerymen's March" (T. Khrennikov – V. Gusev), which was first performed in 1943 in the film "Six O'Clock in the Evening After the War," instilled confidence in victory in the hearts of millions of Soviet people, both those who fought on the battlefield and those who contributed to the victory through their peaceful labor in the rear.

– The sparkling choreographic composition “Home with Victory” (directed by Honored Artist of Russia A. Safronov, adapted by A. Zarkov), brilliantly performed by the Ensemble’s ballet group.

It is impossible to overestimate the importance of friendship and mutual assistance, sincere selfless human relations in the “inhuman realities” of war. It is probably difficult to convey them better than in the song “Let’s Smoke” (M. Tabachnikov – I. Frenkel), written in the autumn of 1941. Today, 80 years later, performed by the People’s Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva, this song not only does not lose its soulful sound, but also acquires new poignant notes.

The celebration held on Red Square on June 24, 2025, to mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory Parade, became truly national. It was attended by representatives of the Russian and Moscow government, participants of the Great Patriotic War, participants of the military parade on Red Square on June 24, 1945, representatives of Moscow and all-Russian public associations of veterans, and many Muscovites and guests of the capital from various generations. They were united by their love for their homeland, their shared memory of our glorious history, their loyalty to tradition, and their love for Russian art, which brings people together and ensures a lasting connection between the past and the present.
