It is difficult to find a person in Russia who is unfamiliar with the work of composer David Tukhmanov. "Victory Day", "The Attraction of the Earth", "My Address is the Soviet Union", "How Beautiful This World Is", "Nightingale Grove", "Eternal Spring", "These Eyes Opposite", "White Dance" - thanks to the organic combination of classical musical foundations and the best traditions of Soviet song writing, these and many other works by Tukhmanov have become an integral part of the country's cultural life not only in the 20th, but also in the 21st century.

On May 25, 2025, the State Kremlin Palace hosted the jubilee gala concert "Victory Day", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the innovative composer, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, twice laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation David Fedorovich Tukhmanov.

Stars of the Russian stage came to congratulate the master, including People's Artists of Russia: Lev Leshchenko, Larisa Dolina, Irina Allegrova, Valeria, Alexander Oleshko, Honored Artists of Russia: Askar Abdrazakov, Olga Kormukhina, Jasmine, Ekaterina Guseva, Valery Syutkin, popular performers: Aglaya Shilovskaya, Elena Sever, Vladimir and Yuri Kiselev, Alexander Panayotov, Lada Dance, Dmitry Koldun, Aziza, Taisiya Povaliy, Alexandra Vorobyova, musical groups: the large concert orchestra "Russia" under the direction of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Dmitry Dmitrienko, Alla Dukhova's ballet "TODES", the exemplary choreographic ensemble "Russian Souvenir", the folklore ensemble "Venets", the group "Ivanushki International", Lana Karpova's dance studio "LARIAL" white;">DANCE, the theater studio "Neposedy", the children's vocal group "Friends", the choreographic ensemble "Kalinka", the theater studio "Harlequin", the Academic Order "For Merit in Culture and Art" song and dance ensemble of the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General, Hero of Labor of Russia Viktor Eliseev. Many of the participants of the celebration have long-standing fruitful creative friendships with David Tukhmanov.

The artists of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Guard appeared on the stage of the State Kremlin Palace twice today – they took part in the performance of the song “I love you, Russia!” (lyrics by M. Nozhkin) – together with the artists of the choreographic ensemble “Russian Souvenir”, the folklore group “Venets”, as well as soloists – Aglaya Shilovskaya and Askar Abdrazakov, – and the closing song of the concert “Victory Day” (lyrics by V. Kharitonov) – together with People’s Artist of Russia Lev Leshchenko and the participants of the ensemble “Russian Souvenir” and the theater studio “Harlequin”.

The applause of the grateful spectators did not cease for a long time in the hall.

The hosts of the concert program were Yana Churikova and Alexander Oleshko.

In the near future, TV viewers will be able to see a video recording of the concert on Channel 1 of Russian Television.

The ensemble performed in the capital of Chuvashia

After a triumphant performance in Nizhny Novgorod, the Academic Order of Merit for Culture and Art of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard of the Russian Federation arrived in Cheboksary, the capital of the Republic of Chuvashia. Cheboksary is an ancient Volga city that celebrated its 550th birthday in 2025. From 1708 to 1920 Cheboksary was a county town of Kazan province, and in 1925 acquired the status of the capital of the Republic of Chuvashia. The city has been repeatedly recognized as one of the most well‑developed in Russia. Today it is the administrative, industrial, scientific, and cultural center of Chuvashia. The work of the Academic Order “For Merit in Culture and Art” Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People’s Artist of Russia, Hero of Labour of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, is well known to the residents of Cheboksary. The renowned military ensemble has performed many times in the capital of Chuvashia. On the stage of the Republican Center for Folk Art “DK Traktorostroiteley” on September 3, 2026, the Ensemble’s collective presented a new concert program, prepared for the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation and the 210th anniversary of the law enforcement troops. The packed hall was filled with city residents, labor veterans, participants in the special military operation, Rosgvardia employees, and members of their families. Among the honoured guests of the event were the Head of the Chuvash Republic, Oleg Nikolaev, members of the Government of the Chuvash Republic, and representatives of public organizations.

The ensemble gave a concert in Nizhny Novgorod

As part of the tour by the Academic Order “For Merit in Culture and Art” Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People’s Artist of Russia, Hero of Labour of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, concerts were successfully held in Uglich and Kostroma in late August 2026. On the first day of September, the ensemble performed for the residents and guests of Nizhny Novgorod. The residents of Nizhny Novgorod carefully preserve the historical memory of the city’s heroic past — the people’s militia led by Minin and Pozharsky in 1612, the militia of 1812, and the heroic labour efforts of the townspeople during the Great Patriotic War. Thanks to its favourable geographical location — at the confluence of the Volga and Oka rivers — Nizhny Novgorod became the country’s main trading hub as early as the 19th century, a “bridge” between Europe and Asia. The city’s residents are proud of the names of their great compatriots – the inventor Ivan Kulibin, the writer Maxim Gorky, the mathematician Nikolai Lobachevsky, the pilots Valery Chkalov and Pyotr Nesterov, the actor Evgeny Evstigneev, and many others. And Nizhny Novgorod is also called the capital of sunsets (this brand was officially registered by Rospatent in 2026).
