For the team of the Academic Order “For Merit in Culture and Art” Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, March 27 is a big holiday – Day of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation.

The history of the Russian National Guard began 214 years ago with the emergence of military battalions of the internal guard under Emperor Alexander I to “maintain peace and quiet in the state”.

Today, the Russian National Guard carries out a wide range of tasks to protect the interests of the state and ensure the safety of citizens of the Russian Federation.

Today, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated the current employees and veterans of the Russian National Guard on their professional holiday.

“The fighters of the Russian National Guard make a significant contribution to solving complex and important tasks to protect law and order, they fight valiantly for the Motherland, being an example of courage and professionalism”, the President of Russia said in his video address to the Russian National Guard – “They protect important strategic facilities, fight terrorism, fight bravely and decisively in the Special Military Operation Zone and in the Kursk borderland, and help establish peaceful life in new Russian regions.”

Vladimir Vladimirovich thanked the Rosgvardia fighters for their loyalty to the Fatherland, for their iron will and fortitude of spirit and character, for their readiness to fulfill their sacred duty to the country to the end in the most difficult and dangerous conditions, and wished them new successes in their noble service to the Fatherland and the people of Russia.

At the garrison club of the Central Troops Commandant's Office for Support of the Activities of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation today - March 27, 2025 - a ceremonial event dedicated to the professional holiday of the Russian National Guard was held.

The event began with the introduction of the State Flag of the Russian Federation, the banner of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation and the personal standard of the Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation.

The personnel and veterans of the department were congratulated on their professional holiday by the Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation - Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, General of the Army, Hero of Russia Viktor Zolotov. He emphasized that today, during the special military operation, the servicemen and employees of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation continue the victorious traditions of their predecessors, display unparalleled courage and heroism, act clearly and harmoniously in the most difficult combat situation, demonstrate the highest professionalism and training, a sense of camaraderie and military brotherhood.

The head of the department presented state and departmental awards to the most distinguished National Guard members.

For special merits in the development of national culture, musical art and many years of fruitful work, the head of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Petrovich Eliseev was awarded the high title of Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation.

The event continued with a large festive concert with the participation of artists of the "Eliseev" Ensemble and popular artists of the Russian stage.

The concert was opened by the "Song of Russian Glory" (S. Babloev, A. Fedotov) performed by the Ensemble choir and soloists - Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Evgeny Yakhin, Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Grigory Yakovlev, Dmitry Dolgy and Daniil Marakhin.

The song “Officers' Wives” (music and lyrics by V. Slepak) performed by People's Artists of Russia Viktor and Natalia Eliseev sounded especially heartfelt today. Many could not hold back their tears…

“Valor and Honor” was the name of the vocal and choreographic composition (music and lyrics by A. Zaitsev, staged by Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania Ivan Zhelnov), performed by the Ensemble's ballet group and soloist – Honored Artist of Russia Alexei Dmitriev.

 Loud applause from the audience was the reward for the artists who performed the vocal and choreographic composition “Gypsy Fantasy” (composition and arrangement by I. Golubev, I. Kadomtsev, production by Artur Bogdanov, soloists - People's Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva, Honored Artist of Russia Alexei Dmitriev, Evgeniy Nasonov) and a medley of songs from Leonid Gaidai's comedies (balalaika quartet under the direction of Ivan Stepanov).

The concert also featured popular performers: People's Artist of Russia Alexander Buinov, Honored Artists of Russia: Alexander Marshal, Elena Vaenga, Pelageya and others.

The concert ended with the patriotic song "Slav'sya" from Mikhail Glinka's opera "Ivan Susnin", performed a cappella by the Ensemble's choral group.

The applause of grateful spectators did not cease for a long time in the hall.
