The ensemble took part in the evening in memory of Evgeny Primakov
“Russia is a great power precisely because many problems in the international arena cannot be solved without it,” – these words of the patriarch of Russian politics, Academician Yevgeny Primakov, are especially relevant today.
An outstanding Arabist scholar, a natural leader who has risen through the ranks of power, the author of the concept of a multipolar world, and the initiator of the strategic triangle between Russia, China, and India, Yevgeny Primakov has gone down in history as a man who changed the fate of Russia and played a significant role in shaping global politics. Through his own example, Primakov demonstrated how to fight for the honor and dignity of one's country, even when it is politically and economically weakened.
On the 96th anniversary of the birth of Yevgeny Primakov – October 29, 2025 – a number of commemorative events dedicated to the anniversary of this outstanding statesman, scientist and diplomat were held at the Russian State Social University (RGGU).
At the solemn meeting held in the RGGU Assembly Hall, the RGGU Rector Andrey Khazin, Army General Anatoly Kulikov, the head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation faction in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov, the head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vasilyev, the Chairman of the Board of the Russian Historical Society, the Executive Director of the History of the Fatherland Foundation Ruslan Gagkuev, and other scientists, public figures, and politicians spoke about their work with Yevgeny Maksimovich Primakov.
All speakers noted the scale of the figure of Yevgeny Primakov, his huge contribution to the formation of Russian statehood and strengthening of the authority of our country in the international arena.
The evening in memory of Academician Primakov at the Russian State Social University continued with a large concert featuring the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and the Arts Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General, and Hero of Labor of Russia Viktor Eliseev.
The concert was opened by the song "Holy War" (music by A. Alexandrov, lyrics by V. Lebedev-Kumach), performed by the choir and orchestra of the Rosgvardia Song and Dance Ensemble and the RGSU choir (directed by Natalia Yushchenko). Today, as in the years of the Great Patriotic War, this song was performed as a national anthem, uniting compatriots in the fight against fascism.
As in any concert program of the Ensemble, patriotic vocal compositions prevailed today: "Medley on the themes of soldiers' songs "(composition by A. Kukharenko; soloists: Honored Artist of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic Alexander Kochov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Igor Safonov, Honored Artists of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Mikhail Zaraev and Evgeny Yakhin, Konstantin Kuzmin, Alexey Bosykh, Mikhail Mamonov, Viktor Lezhnin), " Officers "(music and lyrics by O. Gazmanov, soloist – Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Dmitriev)," Smuglyanka " (music by A. Novikov, lyrics by Ya.Shvedov, soloist – Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Grigory Yakovlev).
Fans of the Song and Dance Ensemble of Rosgvardiya always enthusiastically accept the performance of its soloist – People's Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva. Today, this delightful singer performed two songs: "On a visit goes" (music by A. Averkin, words by V. Bokov) and "Ural Ryabinushka" (music by E. V. Bokov).Rodygina, words by M. Pilipenko).
Today, the audience was captivated by a range of musical performances, including the song "Argo" from the musical "The Argonauts" (music by A. Basilai, lyrics by D. Bagashvili, and Russian lyrics by Yu.Ryashentseva), performed by the vocal octet of the Ensemble (headed by the Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Bazylko), the chanson song "The Boys Went on a Party" (music and lyrics by A. Kasiev, soloists – Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Dmitriev and Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Alexey Kholyavko), as well as the performance of the balalaika quartet led by Ivan Stepanov.
They say that if a person is talented, he is talented in everything. One of the facets of the bright multifaceted talent Yevgeny Primakov was poetry. Yevgeny Maksimovich was not only a great connoisseur and appreciator of poetry, but also wrote wonderful poems himself. Another confirmation of this was the romance "Doctor, how good it is that you are here", written by the composer I. Luchenok on the verses of Primakov – in the concert of his memory, this romance was performed by the artistic director and chief conductor of the Ensemble – People's Artist of Russia, Major General, Hero of Labor of Russia Victor Eliseev.
The audience was filled with a sense of pride in the country's history, with a touch of nostalgia, as they listened to the performance of O. Gazmanov's song "I Was Born in the Soviet Union" (performed by the Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Dmitriev and the Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Alexey Kholyavko).
The concert ended with the traditional "Farewell to the Slavonic" march (music by V. Agapkin, lyrics by A. Fedotov), performed by the Ensemble's orchestra and choir, with the entire audience joining in.
The evening in memory of Academician Yevgeny Primakov will undoubtedly be remembered for a long time by all who came today to honor the memory of this remarkable man, who left a deep mark not only in the history of the country, but also in the soul and heart of everyone who met him on his life path.LATEST NEWS
