The predecessor of the Academic Ensemble was the Song and Dance Ensemble of the NKVD of the USSR, formed in accordance with the Order of the NKVD of September 9, 1939 № 607, signed by People's Commissar of Internal Affairs, L.P. Beria. The number of personnel of the NKVD Ensemble exceeded 350 people

1939–1941

Zinovy Dunayevsky, brother of the well-known composer, was appointed as artistic director of the ensemble. The ensemble's management included prominent figures of Russian culture - composer and conductor - Mikhail Bak, choirmaster - Alexander Sveshnikov, ballet master - Asaf Messerer, guitarist and composer - Alexander Ivanov-Kramskoy, director - Sergei Yutkevich, and artist - Peter Williams

1939–1941

IN 1941, THE NKVD SONG AND DANCE ENSEMBLE BEGAN ACTIVE TOURING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. FROM THE FIRST DAY OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR THE ENSEMBLE BEGAN TO WORK FOR THE FRONT.

The mobile brigades of the ensemble performed in units of the Red Army, NKVD troops, people's militia formations, and on the front lines. They were the first to arrive in besieged Leningrad and Kronstadt, where, despite air raids, they gave almost two hundred concerts. And in total, during the war years, they performed more than one thousand seven hundred times. The ensemble's performances were heard on radio programs more than a hundred times, with broadcasts to foreign countries as well

For their successful work during the Great Patriotic War and participation in the defense of Moscow and Leningrad, members of the ensemble were awarded medals “For the Defense of Moscow”, “For the Defense of Leningrad”, and “For Victory over Germany”

1973

Based on the amateur song and dance ensembles of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (OMZDON and the 36th Orsha-Khingan convoy division), the first professional ensemble - the Ensemble of Song and Dance of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR with a staff of 75 people was created by the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the USSR № 205 dated July 3, 1973.

JULY 3, 1973 IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE BIRTHDAY OF THE ENSEMBLE - ON THIS DAY THE ENSEMBLE OF SONG AND DANCE OF THE INTERNAL TROOPS OF THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF THE USSR WAS FORMED BY ORDER NO. 205 OF THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF THE USSR.

From the day of its establishment, the ensemble was led by honored culture worker - Lieutenant Colonel B.I. Salmin. In 1976, the torch was taken up by Lieutenant Colonel R.S. Vershinin. A month later, the first performances of the ensemble in front of the personnel of the troops and a tour of the cities of the USSR took place

IN 1980. THE ACADEMIC ENSEMBLE WAS A PARTICIPANT OF THE MOSCOW OLYMPICS

At that time, the Ensemble gave a huge number of concerts. The main task was to perform for the servicemen who ensured order at the Olympic venues and in the city

1985

Since 1985, the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation has been directed by People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Professor of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory - Viktor Petrovich Eliseev, Major General of the Internal Service.

The Academic Ensemble was a participant of the World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow in 1985.

1987–1988

Since 1987, the ensemble has traveled more than 50 times to the hot spots of the country: Nagorno-Karabakh, Sumgayit, and later to the area where the internal troops carried out combat missions, including the territory of the Chechen Republic and the republics of Dagestan, Ingushetia, North Ossetia-Alania, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, - where more than 200 concerts were given. In 1988, the collective was honored to be received by the head of the Roman Catholic Church - John Paul II

1993–1998

1993–1998

By Order No. 596 of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation dated September 27, 1993, the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia was awarded the "Academic" title.

In 1996, the collective moved to Lubyanka, in the building built in 1884 by the Tryndin brothers.

In 1996-97, the collective took part in gala concerts dedicated to the inauguration of the President of the Russian Federation, the celebration of the 850th anniversary of Moscow, and the opening of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.

IN SEPTEMBER 1998, A NAME PLATE - THE STAR OF THE ACADEMIC SONG AND DANCE ENSEMBLE OF THE INTERNAL TROOPS OF THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF RUSSIA - WAS LAID ON THE SQUARE OF STARS IN HONOR OF THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ENSEMBLE FOR ITS SERVICES IN THE FIELD OF CULTURE AND ART BY THE DECISION OF THE MOSCOW CITY GOVERNMENT

IN 2005, THE ACADEMIC ENSEMBLE WAS AWARDED THE TITLE OF LAUREATE OF THE RUSSIAN MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS PRIZE IN THE FIELD OF CULTURE AND AMONG THE BEST COLLECTIVES OF THE COUNTRY AND BECAME THE OWNER OF THE GRANT OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

in 2002, The academic ensemble actively participated in the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the 200th anniversary of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

In 2003, The Academic Ensemble took part in the opening of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior

In 2016, By Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia dated October 12, 2015 № 062 from January 1, 2016, the federal state institution of culture and art “Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance” of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation” was formed and subordinated directly to the Commander-in-Chief of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

By Order of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation No. 05 dated July 27, 2016, the Federal State Institution of Culture and Art “Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation” was transferred to the staff of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation.

On April 25, 2019, the Academic Ensemble performed at the summit of the heads of Russia and the DPRK at the Far Eastern University - o. Russky

SINCE 2016, THE OFFICIAL NAME OF THE COLLECTIVE HAS BEEN THE “ACADEMIC ENSEMBLE OF SONG AND DANCE OF THE NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION”.

In 2023, by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated September 22, 2023 № 704, the Academic Ensemble was awarded the Order “For Merit in Culture and Art” for its services in the field of culture and art and in connection with the 50th anniversary of its establishment. The Academic Ensemble was the first creative ensemble in Russia to be awarded this order

OUR MERITS

Thirty-three leading artists of the collective have been awarded honorary titles of People's and Honored Artists of the Russian Federation.

During its creative activity, the ensemble has prepared 58 concert programs, with which it performed for the military and working people of the country. The ensemble gave more than 9000 concerts, which were attended by more than 27 million spectators
