After a triumphant performance in Nizhny Novgorod, the Academic Order of Merit for Culture and Art of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard of the Russian Federation arrived in Cheboksary, the capital of the Republic of Chuvashia. Cheboksary is an ancient Volga city that celebrated its 550th birthday in 2025. From 1708 to 1920 Cheboksary was a county town of Kazan province, and in 1925 acquired the status of the capital of the Republic of Chuvashia. The city has been repeatedly recognized as one of the most well‑developed in Russia. Today it is the administrative, industrial, scientific, and cultural center of Chuvashia. The work of the Academic Order “For Merit in Culture and Art” Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People’s Artist of Russia, Hero of Labour of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, is well known to the residents of Cheboksary. The renowned military ensemble has performed many times in the capital of Chuvashia. On the stage of the Republican Center for Folk Art “DK Traktorostroiteley” on September 3, 2026, the Ensemble’s collective presented a new concert program, prepared for the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation and the 210th anniversary of the law enforcement troops. The packed hall was filled with city residents, labor veterans, participants in the special military operation, Rosgvardia employees, and members of their families. Among the honoured guests of the event were the Head of the Chuvash Republic, Oleg Nikolaev, members of the Government of the Chuvash Republic, and representatives of public organizations.

As part of the tour by the Academic Order “For Merit in Culture and Art” Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People’s Artist of Russia, Hero of Labour of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, concerts were successfully held in Uglich and Kostroma in late August 2026. On the first day of September, the ensemble performed for the residents and guests of Nizhny Novgorod. The residents of Nizhny Novgorod carefully preserve the historical memory of the city’s heroic past — the people’s militia led by Minin and Pozharsky in 1612, the militia of 1812, and the heroic labour efforts of the townspeople during the Great Patriotic War. Thanks to its favourable geographical location — at the confluence of the Volga and Oka rivers — Nizhny Novgorod became the country’s main trading hub as early as the 19th century, a “bridge” between Europe and Asia. The city’s residents are proud of the names of their great compatriots – the inventor Ivan Kulibin, the writer Maxim Gorky, the mathematician Nikolai Lobachevsky, the pilots Valery Chkalov and Pyotr Nesterov, the actor Evgeny Evstigneev, and many others. And Nizhny Novgorod is also called the capital of sunsets (this brand was officially registered by Rospatent in 2026).

The tour of the Academic Order “For Merit in Culture and Art” Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People’s Artist of Russia, Hero of Labour of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, continues across the cities of the Volga region. At the very end of summer, on August 30, 2016, the Ensemble gave a concert in Kostroma — an ancient Russian city where every stone literally breathes history. The pearl of Russia’s Golden Ring, Kostroma captivates with the harmony of ancient churches, merchant rows, and the expanses of the Volga River. The main concert venue in Kostroma and the Kostroma region — the Gubernsky Concert and Exhibition Center — has become a focal point for residents and visitors to the city today. Spectators of all ages, people of different generations, and representatives of various professions attended the Ensemble’s concert, including participants in the special military operation, military personnel, employees of the National Guard, and members of their families. The honorary guest of the event was Fyodor Sergeevich Sokolov, police colonel and acting head of the Rosgvardia Directorate for the Kostroma Region.

In late August – early September 2026, the Volga region will be treated to a true celebration of art – a major tour by the Academic Order “For Merit in Culture and Art” Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People’s Artist of Russia, Hero of Labour of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev. This tour, the renowned military musical ensemble dedicates to two significant anniversaries at once – the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation and the 215th anniversary of the creation of the prototype of the modern law enforcement troops. The first concert of the tour took place on August 28, 2026, in Uglich – an ancient city on the right bank of the Volga River. Uglich is famous for its careful preservation of a deep and dramatic history, its magnificent Volga landscapes, and the special charm of a provincial Russian town with its quiet streets, ancient churches, and unhurried pace of life.

One of the glorious traditions of Russian musical culture is the annual (since 1997) All-Russian Festival of Folk Art in memory of Alexander Averkin, an Honored Artist of Russia and a composer, held in the Sasovo Municipal District of the Ryazan Region. In 2026, the XXIX All-Russian Festival of Folk Art, dedicated to the composer A.P. Averkin, combines two themes. The main theme of the event is the memory and creative legacy of Alexander Petrovich Averkin, the author of over 800 works that remain popular today. But the fact that this year's festival is being held in the composer's homeland gives it a special significance. Exactly 100 years ago, in the summer of 1926, the village of Sasovo was officially declared a city by the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee.

Following a long-standing tradition, on the eve of the summer vacation season, the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Arts Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation held a general meeting of the collective. At the meeting held on July 1, 2026, the artistic director and chief conductor of the Ensemble, People's Artist of Russia, Major General, and Hero of Labor of Russia, Viktor Petrovich Eliseev, summarized the results of the collective's creative activities for the period from January to June 2026. He proudly noted the consistently high level of the artists’ performing skills and the Ensemble’s rich concert program, which was highly successful with the audience, including during the tour performances across the country and performances at the country’s iconic venues – the State Kremlin Palace, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the Great Hall of the Conservatory, the Church Cathedral Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, as well as at the Main Clinical Hospital of the National Guard in Balashikha. He emphasized the great contribution of the Ensemble’s artists to the patriotic education of the younger generation and the support of the military personnel’s fighting spirit.

The Academic Order of Merit in Culture and the Arts Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation travels tens of thousands of kilometers every year to bring its art to people in various parts of the country. In late June, the Ensemble's artists, led by its artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia and Hero of Labor of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, performed in Kamchatka. This rugged and beautiful region is a symbol of Russia's strength and grandeur. On the eve of our country's main holiday, Russia Day, a gala concert "My Home is Russia" was held at the State Kremlin Palace on June 11, 2026. The concert became a bright event that brought together outstanding artists on one stage, whose names are known to every lover of Russian pop music. Lev Leshchenko, Oleg Gazmanov, Igor Nikolaev, Stas Mikhailov, Grigory Leps, Alexander Buinov, Alexander Marshal, Askar Abdrazakov, Dima Bilan, Polina Gagarina, Pelageya, Anita Tsoi, Denis Maidanov, Gleb Matveychuk, Olga Kormukhina and other performers and musical groups gave the audience an unforgettable evening.  The program featured works that make up the Golden Fund of Russian Song culture – soulful songs about the Motherland, about love for native nature, about friendship, family, and eternal human values. One of the largest military artistic groups in the country, the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Art Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by its artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Hero of Labor of Russia, Major General Viktor Yeliseyev, places great importance on its charitable concert activities. The Ensemble's artists perform for military personnel and employees of the National Guard, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants in the special military operation, and their families, as well as for soldiers undergoing treatment in hospitals and residents of various regions of the country as part of patriotic and social initiatives. A significant event in the cultural life of the capital was the charity concert of the Ensemble, held on June 9, 2026, in the Cathedral Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. This is the fourth charity evening organized by the Moscow City Organization of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education as part of the "Support Our!" campaign.
