There is probably no one in Russia who would not be moved by the song "Victory Day," which has become a symbol of gratitude for the heroic deeds of our people in the Great Patriotic War. In 2025, the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, this famous song by composer David Tukhmanov and poet-frontline soldier Vladimir Kharitonov will celebrate its 50th anniversary.

"Victory Day" is not just a symbol; it is the emotional finale of the entire war. Combining solemnity and lyricism, the joy of victory and sorrow for the fallen, civic pathos and genuine sincerity, this song has become a true anthem of victory over fascism, an indispensable part of all celebrations dedicated to Victory Day, not only in Russia but also abroad. This song is listened to with tears in the eyes. Soldiers march to its staccato rhythms in parades.

The song "Victory Day" has been performed by many great Russian singers. However, Lev Leshchenko, a People's Artist of the RSFSR, is widely recognized as the ultimate performer of this song.
