The All-Russian Tour of the Ensemble has started in Severomorsk
Today, the North Sea Palace of Culture Stroitel hosted a concert by the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the Russian National Guard, led by Major General Viktor Eliseev, a People's Artist of Russia.
"This is a very important date for our country — the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. We have decided to celebrate this event with a large tour across the country. We have started this tour, called "Songs of the War Years," in the Murmansk region. Today, we have two concerts planned: the first in Severomorsk and the second in Apatity. Tomorrow, on February 3, we will perform at the regional philharmonic in Murmansk," said Viktor Eliseev.
A third of the seats in all the halls are reserved for National Guardsmen and their families, military personnel, war and labor veterans, members of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, residents of besieged Leningrad, veterans of the submarine fleet, and submarine sailors.
The tour's name speaks for itself: most of the program consists of military songs. Today, the North Sea Fleet personnel heard "The Holy War," "The Artilleryman's Song," and "The Frontline Driver's Song." And how could it be without "Smuglyanka"?
However, Viktor Petrovich noted that the ensemble caters to an audience of different ages and tastes, so the program was diversified with modern arrangements, folk songs, Soviet-era compositions, and global hits. As a result, the audience experienced a wide range of emotions: they enthusiastically sang along with "Victory Day" while standing, danced to "Get Lucky" by the duo "Daft Punk," and laughed heartily when they heard the Buryat rap in "I'm Taking You to the Tundra."
After the concert, the Minister of Culture of the Murmansk Region, Evgeny Goman, thanked the artists from the stage:
— You just barged into our daily routine on an armored train. Thank you so much for your stunning aesthetics, your mathematical precision, and your sense of humor. Know that every town in our region will welcome you. Come back soon!
