to the 55th anniversary of the movie "Officers"

In 2026, the legendary Soviet film "Officers" will celebrate its 55th anniversary. The film, directed by Vladimir Rogov and based on the novel "Tankmen" by Boris Vasilyev, premiered on July 26, 1971. From the very first days of its release, the film gained immense popularity among viewers. The story of three generations of men, officers who dedicated their lives to defending their homeland, who went through the most difficult trials with their country, but remained loyal to their homeland and their civic duty, and who carried their strong male friendship through the decades, left no one indifferent.

After the release of "Officers" on the country's screens, thousands of boys decided to choose the profession of "protecting the Motherland" for themselves. The competition for military universities increased several times.

The honor, bravery, and nobility of the Russian officer have become life goals for several generations of our compatriots. The film "Officers" has become a permanent part of the "Golden Fund" of Soviet cinema.

Today, in the context of the special military operation, when our country is once again facing Nazism, the military drama "Officers" takes on a special significance.

The gala concert "Come Home, Dear!", dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the film "Officers", took place on February 2, 2026, at the State Kremlin Palace.

The date of the concert was chosen for a reason – today marks 83 years since the victory of the Soviet Army in the Battle of Stalingrad. The Battle of Stalingrad, which lasted 200 days, became a symbol of patriotism and self-sacrifice of our people. The liberation of Stalingrad was a turning point not only in the Great Patriotic War, but also in the entire Second World War.

Performed by the choir, orchestra and soloists of the Ensemble – People's Artist of Russia Viktor Eliseev and People's Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva was the song "Officers' Wives" (music and lyrics by Vladimir Slepak) – a touching and heartfelt musical appeal to all Russian women who have linked their lives with the defenders of the Motherland. The audience did not let the artists leave the stage for a long time, thanking them with long applause.

The concert was attended by Russian music stars, popular pop singers, and vocal and choreographic groups. The State Kremlin Palace stage was graced by the performances of the People's Artists of Russia: Khibla Gerzmava, Lev Leshchenko, Alexander Mikhailov, Dmitry Kharatyan, Irina Kupchenko, and Alina Pokrovskaya; and the Honored Artists of Russia: Gosha Kutsenko, Denis Maidanov, Sergey Volchkov, Pelageya, Viktor Sorokin, Askar Abdrazakov, Nonna Grishaeva, SHAMAN, Maria Voronova, Sergey Voitenko, Alexander Voevodin, Ekaterina Guseva, Zara, Varvara, Alexander Marshal, Sergey Makhovikov; Chamber Choir of the Gnessin Music School, Lyube Group, Moscow Song Theater "YAR", Art group "Turetsky Choir", group "123 Regiment", ballet by Lyudmila Baykova, cadets of the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia named after V.
