The performance by the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard of the Russian Federation in Murmansk was a significant event in the city's cultural life.

The crowded hall of the Murmansk Regional Philharmonic could not accommodate all those who wanted to see the concert by the renowned Rosgvardia Ensemble. The best seats in the hall were reserved for veterans of the Great Patriotic War, submarine sailors, and home front workers, all of whom we are immensely grateful for their heroic deeds during the difficult years of the war. Among the guests were members of the Russian National Guard and their families, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and honorary residents of the city.

"Our entire country is preparing to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. We have decided to mark this event with a large tour across the country. We have started this tour, titled "Songs of the War Years," in the Murmansk region. Our anniversary concerts have already been viewed by audiences in the cities of Severomorsk and Apatity, and today we are delighted to bring our art to you," said Viktor Eliseev, the artistic director and chief conductor of the ensemble, a People's Artist of Russia and Major General.

Most of the concert's program consists of war-time songs, including "The Holy War," "The Artillerymen's March," "The Front Driver's Song," and "Smuglyanka." By performing these songs, the artists pay tribute to those who did not return from the war and express gratitude to the living veterans.

No matter where the ensemble goes, it always fills the halls. The band's fans come from all walks of life. In the concert hall of the naval capital, you'll find both grandparents and young people.

Among the young spectators were students from the seventh grade of the North Sea Cadet Corps. According to Nikolai Podoferenko, an officer-educator, these students are from the drum corps that took part in the May 9 parade. They have been studying at a music school for several years, and some of them already dream of performing with such a famous ensemble in the future.

The concert program includes songs from Soviet times, folk songs, modern arrangements, and world hits. The audience enthusiastically sang along with the medley from Leonid Utyosov's repertoire and laughed heartily when they heard the original performance of the song "I'm Taking You to the Tundra."

The band has repeatedly proven that they are proficient in all genres of music and can surprise audiences with their choice of repertoire. They are skilled in performing not only military, frontline, and folk songs, but also global pop hits such as "Get Lucky" by the duo "Daft Punk" and "Can't Stop the Feeling!" by Justin Timberlake.

The concert ended with the beloved song "Victory Day," which is traditionally performed by the entire audience in the hall, along with the ensemble's choir and orchestra.

The almost two-hour concert program ended with a long standing ovation. The audience did not want to let the artists go.

Erik Khismatullin, Head of the Murmansk Region Department of the National Guard, warmly thanked the Moscow military artists: "Your band's concert is a remarkable event for our city. Your art helps us serve and look towards the future."

The "Songs of War Years" ensemble's tour continues.

Concert halls in the cities of Siberia and the Far East are waiting for performances by our artists.
