Every Saturday, viewers of Channel One can enjoy a sea of positive emotions, interesting discoveries, and unexpected revelations on the talk show "Tonight," where famous cultural and artistic figures gather around a round table in the studio. These include artists, musicians, composers, and writers.
The edition of this TV program that took place on February 4, 2023, was special because it was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Leonid Gaidai, a film director and People's Artist of the USSR, who was beloved by several generations of our compatriots.
The films created by this outstanding comedy director include Operation Y and Other Adventures of Shurik, The Caucasian Captive or New Adventures of Shurik, The Diamond Arm, Twelve Chairs, Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession, It Can't Be!, and others, which have become classics of Russian cinema. At the round table, the permanent host of the program, People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Tsiskaridze, gathered popular film and stage performers whose creative paths are inextricably linked with the legendary master of film comedy: People's Artists of Russia: composer Alexander Zatsepin, Svetlana Amanova, Dmitry Kharatyan, and Honored Artists of Russia: Natalia Varley, Nina Maslova, Natasha Koroleva, and screenwriter and playwright Arkady Inin.
A musical gift to TV viewers on the 100th anniversary of Leonid Gaidai was the participation in the TV program "Tonight" of the Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.
Accompanied by the choir of the Rosgvardia Ensemble, the song "Marusya" by the composer Alexander Zatsepin on the lyrics of Leonid Derbenyov from the film comedy "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession" was performed by the People's Artist of Russia Grigory Pinyasov.
