On April 5, 2024, the team of the Combined Arms Order of Zhukov Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation named after M.V. Frunze celebrates the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of the National Guard Troops and the Department of Tactics and Operational Art of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation.

The festive concert of the Academic Order "For Merit in Culture and Art" Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev became a wonderful gift to the Academy team in connection with this significant event.

The meeting with the artists was attended by teachers, staff and students of this higher military educational institution.

At the beginning of the event, the State Flag of the Russian Federation and the Battle Banner of the Academy were brought into the hall, the anthem of the Russian Federation was played, giving a special solemnity to the festive evening.

The ceremonial meeting was opened by the acting head of the Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation named after M.V. Frunze, Lieutenant General Oleg Tsekov, who addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

He noted the great contribution of the Faculty of the National Guard Troops and the Department of Tactics and Operational Art of the National Guard Troops of the Academy to the training of top-class specialists, to the education of the young generation of Russian Guardsmen in the spirit of patriotism, selfless service to the Motherland.

The festive concert opened with the song "Workers' Wars" (E. Shiryaev - I. Reznik) performed by the choir and orchestra of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Guard.

Patriotic, uplifting works form the basis of each concert program of the famous military group. Today, these songs not only do not lose their relevance, but acquire a new, special sound.

The choir and orchestra of the Ensemble performed the "Song of the Artillerymen" (T. Khrennikov - V. Gusev), beloved by several generations of Russians, in the concert.

The audience received with deep feeling the performance of the old Russian march "Song of Russian Glory" (V. Saveliev - A. Fedotov; soloists - Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Evgeny Yakhin, Dmitry Dolgy, Daniil Marakhin, Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Grigory Yakovlev), the author's song by Oleg Gazmanov "Officers" (soloist - Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Dmitriev), the Russian folk song "The Cossack Galloped" (soloist - Dmitry Dolgy), the legendary "Smuglyanka" (A. Novikov - Ya. Shvedov; soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Grigory Yakovlev), the songs "For Donbass" (S. Voitenko - A. Ganichev, soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Alexey Kholyavko) and "We Serve the Motherland" (N. Smirnov - S. Kardayev; soloists - Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Evgeny Yakhin and Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Alexey Kholyavko).

The balalaika quartet under the direction of Ivan Stepanov performed the Russian folk song "Kamarinskaya".

The stormy applause of the audience was the reward for the artists who performed a medley of themes from the repertoire of Leonid Utesov (composition by Honored Artist of Russia Alexei Mazanov, soloists - Honored Artist of Russia Alexei Dmitriev, Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Pavel Pushkin, Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Mikhail Zarayev, soloist of the Ensemble Mikhail Mamonov).

No one was left indifferent by the sparkling performance of the dance compositions "Naraspashku" and "Na mostochke" by the ballet troupe of the Ensemble.

The concert, according to tradition, ended with the march "Farewell of Slavyanka" (V. Agapkin - A. Fedotov) performed by the choir and orchestra of the Ensemble.

The concert was hosted by the Deputy Head of the Ensemble for the artistic part, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of Russia, Colonel Igor Shustikov.

At the end of the concert, the Head of the Department of Tactics and Operational Art of the Troops of the National Guard, Colonel Evgeny Chernutsky, thanked the artists of the Ensemble of the Rosgvardia for the wonderful concert.

Participation in a festival dedicated to the composer A. P. Averkin

One of the glorious traditions of Russian musical culture is the annual (since 1997) All-Russian Festival of Folk Art in memory of Alexander Averkin, an Honored Artist of Russia and a composer, held in the Sasovo Municipal District of the Ryazan Region. In 2026, the XXIX All-Russian Festival of Folk Art, dedicated to the composer A.P. Averkin, combines two themes. The main theme of the event is the memory and creative legacy of Alexander Petrovich Averkin, the author of over 800 works that remain popular today. But the fact that this year's festival is being held in the composer's homeland gives it a special significance. Exactly 100 years ago, in the summer of 1926, the village of Sasovo was officially declared a city by the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee.

Recognition of merit

Following a long-standing tradition, on the eve of the summer vacation season, the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Arts Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation held a general meeting of the collective. At the meeting held on July 1, 2026, the artistic director and chief conductor of the Ensemble, People's Artist of Russia, Major General, and Hero of Labor of Russia, Viktor Petrovich Eliseev, summarized the results of the collective's creative activities for the period from January to June 2026. He proudly noted the consistently high level of the artists’ performing skills and the Ensemble’s rich concert program, which was highly successful with the audience, including during the tour performances across the country and performances at the country’s iconic venues – the State Kremlin Palace, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the Great Hall of the Conservatory, the Church Cathedral Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, as well as at the Main Clinical Hospital of the National Guard in Balashikha. He emphasized the great contribution of the Ensemble’s artists to the patriotic education of the younger generation and the support of the military personnel’s fighting spirit.
