Teacher is one of the most respected professions in Russia. Every year on October 5, Russian teachers celebrate their professional holiday.

The Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Viktor Zolotov, congratulated the teachers of the cadet schools and educational institutions of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation on Teachers' Day.

"Teachers are a source of knowledge, skills, and competencies that are reflected in life every day. Teachers share their wisdom and knowledge with students, giving them a piece of their soul," the director of the National Guard said in a congratulatory telegram.

Established in 2017 on the basis of the Moscow Cossack Cadet Corps boarding school No. 7, the Moscow Presidential Cadet School named after M. A. Sholokhov of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation is one of the most reputable military educational institutions in Russia. It educates more than 350 students in grades 5 to 11.

In the solemn event dedicated to the professional holiday – Teachers’ Day, held on October 5, 2023 at the Moscow Presidential Cadet School named after M. A. Sholokhov of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, the renowned musical group – the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, People’s Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, took part.

At the beginning of the concert, the song "Where Does the Motherland Begin" by composer Veniamin Basner and poet Mikhail Matusovsky from the multi-episode film "Shield and Sword" was performed by the soloist of the Ensemble, Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Grigory Yakovlev.

Songs from the Great Patriotic War: "March of the Artillerymen" (T.Khrennikov, V.Gusev), "Song of War Correspondents" (M. Blanter, K. Simonov) were performed by the choir and orchestra of the Ensemble, soloist – Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Alexey Kholyavko.

The song "I'll Take You to the Tundra" by composer Mark Fradkin, with lyrics by Mikhail Plyatskovsky, was originally performed by the soloists of the Ensemble, Honored Cultural Workers of the Republic of Buryatia Ruslan Samozhapov and Norpol Tsydenov.

The Balalaika Quartet (led by Ivan Stepanov) performed the "Gaidai Suite" based on songs from the films of the outstanding film director Leonid Gaidai: "Barbos and the Unusual Cross," "Operation Y and Other Adventures of Shurik," "The Caucasian Captive," and "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession."

The legendary song "Smuglyanka" (A. Novikov, Y. Shvedov) was performed by the soloist of the Ensemble Grigory Yakovlev.

The Ensemble's ballet group performed the sailor's dance "Yabloko" and the choreographic composition "On the Bridge."

The song about the National Guardsmen "Valor and Honor" (by A. V. Zaitsev) was performed by the Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Dmitriev, the choir, and the orchestra of the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard of the Russian Federation.

The concert ended with the song "Farewell, Slavonic" (V. Agapkin, A. Fedotov) performed by the Ensemble's choir and soloists.
