The ensemble performed at Ilya Reznik's author's party

The work of the People's Artist of Russia, the poet Ilya Reznik, is well known and loved by Russians of all generations. The songs based on his poems, composed by Raimonds Pauls, Maxim Dunaevsky, Oscar Feltsman, Alexander Zhurbin, and other popular Soviet and Russian composers, have not only brought the poet widespread fame, but have also become truly popular.

"Apple Trees in Bloom", "Old Clock", "Cinderella", "Maestro", "Wanderer", "Opening Day", "It's Not Even Evening", "Charlie", "Starry Summer", "Little Country", "Flight Attendant Named Zhanna" - thanks to beautiful music and vivid poetic images, these and many other songs with lyrics by Ilya Reznik have rightfully entered the golden fund of the national variety.

The team of the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Arts of the Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation and its artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General, Hero of Labor of Russia Viktor Eliseev, has a long-standing creative friendship with Ilya Reznik. Songs based on Ilya Reznik's poetry are often featured in the Ensemble's concerts. Fans of the maestro's work will undoubtedly remember the "Anniversary Vernissage" dedicated to Ilya Reznik's 85th birthday. The festive concert in honor of the poet's anniversary, held in April 2023 at the Crocus City Hall, was attended by the Ensemble's choir and its soloist, People's Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva.

«Ilya Reznik. Vernissage» – this was the name of Ilya Reznik’s author’s evening, which took place on October 5, 2025 at the Live Arena. This multifunctional transformable complex is considered one of the most modern arenas in Europe – it is capable of changing its configuration for any event in literally a matter of hours: from a rock concert to an ice show, a boxing match or a business forum.

The audience that came to the "vernisage" that evening had an unforgettable experience with their favorite songs based on the poems of Ilya Reznik, which have become classics of Russian pop music. Leading Russian performers and numerous friends of the poet, including Larisa Dolina, Igor Nikolaev, Mikhail Shufutinsky, Alexander Buynov, Vladimir Presnyakov, Natalia Podolskaya, Sergey Penkin, Soso Pavliashvili, Alexander Marshal, Zara, Lada Dance, the State Cossack Song and Dance Ensemble Stavropol, the Zemlyane band, the TODES show ballet, the Little Country Children's Musical Theatre of Ilya Reznik, and many others, came to congratulate Ilya Rakhmilevich on this significant event and share their love for his work with the audience.

The choir of the Rosgvardia Song and Dance Ensemble performed patriotic works: "Workers of War" (music by E. Shiryaev), requiem "Beloved Ones Do Not Die" (music by A. Batrak), "Sing Me a Song" (music by E. Filippov, soloist – People's Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva) and "Tsarevna Rodina-Russia" (music by R. Pauls) (together with the children's musical theatre "Little Country").

The audience's kind smiles were elicited by the performance of the popular song "My Little Lady," written by Ilya Reznik and set to music by Maxim Dunayevsky.

They say that if a person is talented, they are talented in everything. Ilya Reznik's work is another example of this. The author of the poems that inspired the songs performed today took the stage as a soloist, earning thunderous applause from the audience.

The festive program also featured Ilya Reznik's poetry, including prayers, sonnets, and lyrical works. The poet's fables, epigrams, and even chastushkas were showcased to the audience, revealing the diverse range of his creative legacy.
