The main holiday of our country and all progressive humanity, Victory Day, is approaching. On the eve of the holiday, on May 7 and 8, 2026, the National Center "Russia" hosted the premiere of the historical play "Soldiers' Dreams." This project, dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, is a unique synthesis of military chronicle footage, war songs, war poetry, military-patriotic choreography, and veterans' memories.

The scenario is based on soldiers' dreams, in which soldiers return home victoriously, meet their loved ones, and return to peaceful life.

Soldiers' Dreams is one of the largest productions ever staged on the stage of the National Center "Russia". Among the numerous participants in the performance is the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and the Arts Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Hero of Labor of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.

First performed on June 26, 1941, at the Belorussky Railway Station for the soldiers leaving for the front, "The Holy War" (music by A. Alexandrov, lyrics by V. Lebedev-Kumach) immediately became the voice of the era. Today, on the 81st anniversary of Victory, this song is perceived as the anthem of the defense of the Fatherland, the anthem of the national resistance to Nazism, and one of the most powerful symbols of the unity of the people in the struggle for their homeland. In the year declared the Year of National Unity in Russia, this theme takes on a particularly powerful significance. Performed by the Ensemble's choir, "The Holy War" left no one indifferent.

The song "Nightingales" (music by V. Solovyov-Sedoy, sl. A. Fatyanov) gives hope for the imminent onset of peaceful life, conveys a sense of spring warmth, symbolizes beauty and love. Written at the end of 1944, this song still finds a warm response in the hearts of Russians. In the performance" Soldier's Dreams", the song" Nightingales " was performed by the choir of the Ensemble and soloist – Honored Artist of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic Alexander Kochov.

The dance group of the Ensemble performed the fiery "Victory Dance" (directed by Honored Artist of Russia A. Safronov, arranged by A. Zarkov), receiving thunderous applause from the audience.

An indispensable iconic attribute of Victory Day celebrations, which unites generations in a single feeling of gratitude to the victors, is David Tukhmanov's song "Victory Day" with lyrics by Vladimir Kharitonov. Together with the Ensemble's choir and the soloist, People's Artist of the RSFSR Lev Leshchenko, the entire audience sang it standing up.

The performance was also attended by the State Academic Russian Folk Choir named after M.E. Pyatnitsky, the Gzhel Dance Theatre, children's groups, and beloved artists such as People's Artist of the RSFSR Sergey Shakurov, People's Artists of Russia Valeria, Ilya Reznik, Honored Artist of Russia Elena Vaenga, as well as contemporary performers such as Varvara, Klava Koka, Habib, and others.

"Soldier's Dreams" is a tribute to the heroic deeds of our people in the Great Patriotic War and a sincere declaration of love for our Motherland.
