"Three centuries in search of knowledge" – The ensemble took part in a solemn event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Russian Academy of Sciences

February 8, 2024 is a grand date for Russian science and for the entire country. On this significant day, the Russian Academy of Sciences solemnly celebrates its 300th anniversary.

The Russian Academy of Sciences is three centuries of great discoveries, great names inscribed in world history. Founded in 1724 by the Decree of Peter I, today the Russian Academy of Sciences is the country's largest center of fundamental research, the highest scientific organization in Russia.

The ceremonial event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences took place on February 8, 2024 in the State Kremlin Palace.

The anniversary celebrations were attended by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Yakovlevich Krasnikov.

«This event is certainly not only of national but also of truly global significance. And therefore it is deservedly included in the list of UNESCO memorable dates», - noted in his speech Vladimir Putin - «It is also symbolic that on the birthday of the Academy we celebrate Russian Science Day. This is a holiday that unites the entire research community of our country." .

During the ceremonial event, Vladimir Putin presented outstanding Russian scientists with state awards of the Russian Federation and the Russian Presidential Prize in Science and Innovation for Young Scientists for 2023.

A great honor for the team of the Academic Order "For Merit in Culture and Art" Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev was the invitation to participate in the festive concert dedicated to the 300th anniversary of of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The choir and orchestra of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Guard performed the following works: "The Twentieth Year" (music: M. Dunaevsky, lyrics: N. Gorodetsky) performed by People's Artist of Russia Oleg Gazmanov, the choir and orchestra of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Guard, Alla Dukhova's ballet "Todes" and all the participants of the concert.

The hosts of the concert were Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Guseva and People's Artist of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kharatyan.

The applause of grateful spectators did not subside for a long time in the hall.
