During the difficult years of the Great Patriotic War, cultural and artistic figures contributed to the approach of Victory Day.

Victory in the war against the treacherous enemy was achieved not only by the military prowess of the Red Army commanders and the reliable equipment, but also by the fighting and moral spirit of the Soviet soldiers. The preservation of this spirit was greatly influenced by the art, which remained important to people even during the war.
In the difficult days of combat, music and song brought solace to the hearts of the battle-weary soldiers.

The front-line brigades of creative workers included popular performers, stage, theater, and film actors, who traveled to the front with concert programs. During the difficult days of the war, these meetings between soldiers and actors became a source of joy and inspiration for the soldiers, helping them to live, fight, and believe in victory.

The team of the Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev has been supporting the former frontline tradition of congratulating Moscow veterans with their art for many years.

By the decision of the head of the ensemble, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, two mobile artistic brigades were organized, which included leading vocalists and musicians. In advance of the veterans, a plan of visits and musical congratulations for front-line veterans was approved.

On May 7, 2022, the Ensemble's mobile artistic brigades organized small concerts at the entrances of Moscow apartments where war veterans reside: Major General E.N. Chusov, retired Colonel G.M. Androsenko, retired Colonel Yu.S. Mukhin, retired Colonel M.V. Gorbov, and retired Colonel M.I. Dobychin. The concerts featured the veterans' favorite songs "Katyusha", "The Artillerymen's March", "The Frontline Driver's Song", "I Was on My Way from Berlin", "Smuglyanka" and others.

The veterans of the Great Patriotic War were presented with congratulations from the Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Viktor Zolotov. The orchestral group of the Ensemble performed "Victory Day". Under this legendary song, the Rosgvardeys marched in a solemn procession, paying tribute to the veterans.

We congratulate the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the home front workers, all those who gave their all to fight the enemy and won our Great Victory 77 years ago through their selfless deeds!
