Every year in May, the country hosts solemn events dedicated to Victory Day. The Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by its artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, is an integral part of these events. This year, the Ensemble celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The National Guard's Song and Dance Ensemble is actively engaged in touring. Our artists are warmly welcomed by audiences in every corner of Russia and beyond.

"Immortal Songs of the Great Country" was the name of the festive concert by the Rosgvardia Song and Dance Ensemble, which took place on May 9, 2023, in Krasnodar. It marked the beginning of the Ensemble's grand tour of southern Russian cities.

On Thursday, May 11, the artists of the famous band were welcomed by the city of military glory Armavir. During the Great Patriotic War, more than 30,000 Armavir residents went to the front, and 12,000 of them did not return home. Twenty residents of Armavir became Heroes of the Soviet Union.

During the Armavir-Maikop operation in August 1942, it was thanks to the courage and resilience of the defenders of Armavir that the advance of the German fascist troops, which were breaking through to the oil fields of Maikop and the Black Sea, was delayed for several days. These precious days allowed our troops to prepare for defense and repel the invaders.

Today, Armavir is a beautiful modern city with a diverse population and rich cultural traditions.

The concert of the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops, held at the Armavir Palace of Culture on May 11, 2023, featured songs from the Great Patriotic War, songs by Soviet composers, and Russian folk songs.

The performance of the Honored Artist of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and the Republic of Dagestan Alexander Kogan caused a special response in the hearts of the audience: "Echo of a long-ago parade" from the movie "The Battle for Moscow" (A. Pakhmutova – N. Dobronravov), "The Fourth Day of the War" (V. Tretyakov), "Hot Snow", "Let's Bow to the great years" (A. Pakhmutova – M. Lviv), "Dark Night" (N. Bogoslovsky – V.Agatov), " Song of frontline correspondents "(M. Blanter-K. Simonov)," Random Waltz "(M. Fradkin – E. Dolmatovsky)," Our medical battalion "(I. Luchenok – M. Yasen)," Cranes " (Ya.Frenkel – R. Gamzatov).

People's Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva's heartfelt performance of the song "Ah, if the Earth could Speak" (Y. Martynov – O. Milyavsky) and the lyrical song "What were You Like..." (I. Dunaevsky – M. Isakovsky) from the movie "Kuban Cossacks"did not leave anyone indifferent.

Along with the vocal performances, the audience was captivated by the choreographic compositions of the Rosgvardia Ensemble. The audience in Armavir applauded the ballet group of the ensemble, who brilliantly performed the dance composition "Victory Dance."

According to the established tradition, the festive concert ended with the popular song “Victory Day,” written by composer David Tukhmanov and based on the lyrics by poet Vladimir Kharitonov, a participant in the Great Patriotic War. Together with soloist Alexander Kogan and the choir of the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, “Victory Day” was sung by all the audience members in the hall.

The concert was attended by Sergey Vasilyevich Frolov, Deputy Head of the Municipal Formation of Armavir, Irina Evgenievna Aksaeva, Deputy Chairman of the Armavir City Duma, veterans of military operations, veterans of the Internal Service of the Russian Federation, and residents of the city.

The big tour dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation under the direction of the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, continues.
