For Labor and Fatherland” was the name of a gala evening held on September 12, 2025, at the State Kremlin Palace. The evening was dedicated to an important date in Russian history – the 300th anniversary of the establishment of the Order of Alexander Nevsky by Empress Catherine I.

The name of the event is deeply symbolic. "For Labor and Fatherland" is the motto of the Order of Alexander Nevsky.

Russians cherish the memory of Alexander Nevsky — a great military leader whose military victories and political decisions strengthened the status of Russia in the international arena and ensured its prosperity. According to the results of a survey of Russians conducted in 2008 by Channel 1 of Russian Television as part of the project "Name of Russia", the palm was given to Alexander Nevsky by an absolute majority of votes.

The Order of Alexander Nevsky is the only award that was given both in the Russian Empire and in the Soviet Union, as well as in modern Russia. The recipients of the Order of Alexander Nevsky are Russian citizens who have made significant personal contributions to their country, as well as prominent foreign politicians, businesspeople, and public figures who have contributed to the development of multilateral cooperation between their countries and the Russian Federation.

The festive concert dedicated to the memorable date was attended by the stars of the Russian stage, popular performers and creative groups. A special role was given to the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Arts Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation – the Orchestra and the Ensemble's choir accompanied almost all the vocal numbers of the program, and at the conductor's podium all evening was the permanent artistic director and chief conductor of the team – Major General, People's Artist of Russia, holder of the Order of Alexander Nevsky, Hero of Labor of Russia Viktor Petrovich Eliseev.

At the beginning of the concert, the choir of the Rosgvardia Song and Dance Ensemble and the State Academic Choral Capella of Russia named after A.A. Yurlov performed the songs "Alexander Nevsky" (music by S. Voytenko and D. Maydanov, lyrics by E. Muravyov, soloist: Honored Artist of Russia Denis Maydanov) and "Prayer Before the Battle" (music by S. Voytenko, lyrics by A. Chernikov, soloist: Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Voytenko).

Deep feelings in all those gathered in the hall were caused by the song by A. Pakhmutova on the verses of M. Lvov "Let's bow to the great years", dedicated to the victory of the Soviet troops in the Battle of Stalingrad (soloist – Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Grigory Yakovlev).

The Ensemble's dance group brilliantly performed the fiery "Victory Dance" (directed by A. Safronov and arranged by A. Zarkov).

The audience warmly received songs from the war years, works by Soviet composers and contemporary authors performed by People's Artists of Russia Alexander Mikhailov and Diana Gurtskaya, and Honored Artists of Russia: Sergey Volchkov, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Maria Voronova, Olga Kormukhina, Sergey Makhovikov, Ekaterina Guseva, Varvara, Sergey Kuprik, Grigory Chernetsov, and popular performers such as Yulia Gavrilova, Olga Budina, Anatoly Zhuravlev, Anastasia Makeeva, Alexandra Vorobyeva, Gleb Matveychuk, Taisiya Povaliy, Alisa Morozova, Ruslan Ostashko, Elena Maksimova, and others.

The festive concert featured performances by the following creative groups: The Red Star Song and Dance Ensemble of the Strategic Missile Forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Cossack Choir, the Domisolka Children's Musical Theatre, the Orpheus Radio Choir, the Pride Women's Choir, the 123 Regiment, the Zemlyane, the Todes Ballet, the Brosko Ballet, and the young gymnasts trained by Irina Viner.

The concert ended with the patriotic song "Glorify" from the final scene of Mikhail Glinka's opera "Ivan Susanin" (lyrics by V. Zhukovsky and E. Rosen), performed by the choir and orchestra of the Rosgvardia Ensemble.

The concert was hosted by Ekaterina Guseva and Ruslan Ostashko.

In the near future, viewers of Channel 1 of Russian Television will be able to see a TV version of the concert.
