The Day of the Prosecutor's Office Worker of the Russian Federation, which is traditionally celebrated on January 12, dates back to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 1329 dated December 29, 1995, "On Establishing the Day of the Prosecutor's Office Worker of the Russian Federation." On this day, almost three centuries ago, Peter the Great established the position of Prosecutor General in the Senate. "There shall be a general prosecutor and an over-prosecutor in the Senate, as well as a prosecutor in every collegium," decreed Tsar Peter, and he expressed the essence of the tasks facing the prosecutors: "This office is like our eye and our advocate in matters of state."

On January 13, a solemn meeting was held at the Main Military Prosecutor's Office to honor employees and veterans of the military prosecutor's office.

Valery Georgievich Petrov, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and Chief Military Prosecutor, State Councilor of Justice of the 1st Class, addressed the audience with his congratulations. He emphasized that military prosecutors, strictly adhering to the spirit and letter of the law, make a significant contribution to ensuring the rule of law and order in the army and navy, as well as protecting the legal rights and interests of military personnel and their families.

State and departmental awards were presented to particularly distinguished employees of the military prosecutor's office for their outstanding achievements in their professional activities. Certificates and commendations were awarded to veterans of the military prosecutor's office for their long-standing contributions to ensuring the rule of law and order.

The solemn meeting dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation ended with a performance by the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, led by People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.

The Ensemble's artists welcomed the audience by performing classical and popular musical compositions. The premiere of the song "March of the Military Prosecutor's Office" by the Ensemble's choir and soloist, People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Romanov, was a real treat for the audience.

The audience was particularly impressed by the performance of the ensemble's lead singer, Natalia Eliseeva, who is an Honored Artist of Russia. Many noticed that after the ensemble's lead singer's heartfelt rendition of the lyrical song "It's Snowing," the long-awaited snowfall began outside the concert hall. Perhaps even nature has a soft spot for art.

The audience highly appreciated the work of the renowned Russian vocal and choreographic art group, giving them a long and thunderous round of applause.

At the end of the concert by the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Chief Military Prosecutor, State Counsellor of Justice of the 1st Class, V. G. Petrov, thanked the ensemble for their performance and presented an Honorary Certificate to the Head of the Ensemble, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, for his long-term creative collaboration with the military prosecutor's office.
