Every Saturday evening, Channel One invites viewers to an exciting evening with famous cultural and artistic figures: artists, musicians, composers, and writers. The talk show "Tonight" offers a sea of positive emotions, interesting discoveries, and unexpected revelations.
The edition of this TV program, held on March 13, 2021, was special – it was dedicated to the anniversary of the composer Alexander Sergeyevich Zatsepin, beloved by several generations of our compatriots. It is hard to believe that the outstanding Soviet and Russian musician and composer, Honored Artist of Russia, and People's Artist of Russia, celebrated his 95th birthday on Wednesday.
At the round table, Maxim Galkin, the permanent host of the program, gathered popular film and pop artists whose creative paths are inextricably linked to the songs of Alexander Zatsepin. The guests of honor included Alla Pugacheva, Maria Rasputina, Sergei Zhilin, Dmitry Kharatyan, Natalia Varley, Nonna Grishaeva, Marina Khlebnikova, and Baigali Serkebayev, the founder of the popular band A’Studio.
Alexander Zatsepin is the author of more than 300 songs and music for 120 films, including "Sannikov Land," "June 31," "The Woman Who Sings," and "Soul." The most popular songs were written by Zatsepin in a long-term creative collaboration with the poet-songwriter Leonid Derbenyov for Leonid Gaidai's film comedies: "Operation Y" and Other Adventures of Shurik, "The Caucasian Captive or New Adventures of Shurik," "The Diamond Arm," "Twelve Chairs," "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession," and "It Can't Be!" The songs from these films became hits that have outlived their time.
The Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, performed on the TV program "Tonight" as a musical gift for the legendary composer's anniversary.
The choir of the Rosgvardia Ensemble performed popular songs: "Marusya" from the comedy film "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession" by Leonid Gaidai, and "There's Only a Moment" from the film "Sannikov Land" by Armen Mkrtchyan and Leonid Popov.
The artistic director and chief conductor of the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, and the guests in the studio wished Alexander Zatsepin good health, creative success, and new songs.
