The Ensemble's tour to China has ended
The Academic Order of “For Merit in Culture and Art” Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev completed its successful tour in China. Each concert, which became a real celebration of music and dance, became evidence of the strong connection between the cultures of the two countries, which was felt like never before in the atmosphere of the concert halls.
Our team has maintained a long-standing friendship with lovers of musical art in the People's Republic of China - over the past 30 years, the Ensemble has toured 17 cities in China.
This time, the Ensemble team had to celebrate the New Year holidays away from home - On December 25, 2024, the Rosgvardia Ensemble went on a tour to China. The new concert program, specially prepared for the discerning Chinese public, was a great success with spectators in the cities of Sihui, Dianmen, Jiaoqing, Fuoshan, Jonshan, Chinyuan, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Shyamet, Fuzhou, Ningbo, Yinzhuang - more than 11.5 thousand people attended the concert in total. The honorary guests of the festive events were the President of the Beijing International Trading Company Chen Yuan Yu, representatives of the leadership of Chinese cities and provinces.
As per tradition, the concert program was very diverse - it included both the best works of Soviet and Russian composers, including songs and vocal and choreographic compositions on military-patriotic themes, and Russian folk songs. What is noteworthy - Neither cultural differences nor the language barrier became an obstacle for the Chinese audience to perceive the Ensemble’s art — after each musical number, the applause in the hall did not subside for a long time. However, the most vivid emotions were undoubtedly caused by the songs performed by the Ensemble’s artists in Chinese. “Song of the Sea” is the name of a Chinese folk song that the leading soloist of the Ensemble, People’s Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva performed as an encore at each concert. A storm of applause became a reward for the Ensemble’s artists, who performed (of course, in Chinese!) the songs “Oh, Yangtze” (soloist — Honored Artist of Russia Alexei Volzhanin), “China — the sun does not set” and “The Sun Never Falls” (soloist — Honored Artist of Russia Alexei Volzhanin). (soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Grigory Yakovlev), "Good Men" (soloist - Evgeny Filyanov) and "Without the Communist Party there would be no new China".
Each concert ended with the performance of the legendary "Katyusha" (M. Blanter - M. Isakovsky), so beloved by the Chinese public.
In mid-January, the Ensemble returned to Russia, where Russian audiences are eagerly awaiting them.
