Each piece of music by Alexander Zatsepin became a hit from the very first performance. Each of his melody is recognizable from the first notes. The music of Alexander Zatsepin is known, appreciated and loved by several generations of Russians, his work has been relevant and in demand at all times and remains so today.
A long-standing creative partnership connected Alexander Zatsepin with the poet and songwriter Leonid Derbenev — as a result of their joint work, songs appeared that have outlived their time for many years, becoming truly popular. Among them are songs from Leonid Gaidai's films: "Operation Y and Other Adventures of Shurik", "Kidnapping, Caucasian Style, or Shurik's New Adventures", "The Diamond Arm", "The Twelve Chairs", "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession", "It Can't Be!", as well as from the films "Sannikov Land", "June 31", "The Woman Who Sings" and others.
Alexander Zatsepin worked fruitfully with many poets, such as Robert Rozhdestvensky, Alexander Galich, Rimma Kazakova, Igor Shaferan, Yuri Entin.
"Selected" was the name of the festive concert dedicated to the 98th anniversary of Alexander Zatsepin, which took place on March 16, 2024 in the State Kremlin Palace.
After the opening concert "Overture" from the cartoon "The Mystery of the Third Planet" performed by the maestro, People's Artist of Russia, composer Alexander Zatsepin, the applause of delighted spectators did not cease for a long time in the hall.
The concert program included both popular hits and classical works of the composer, as well as new compositions.
The audience was treated to performances by Russian pop stars - People's Artist of the RSFSR Lev Leshchenko, People's Artists of Russia: Alexander Buinov, Dmitry Kharatyan, Honored Artists of Russia: Pelageya, Natalya Varley, Natasha Koroleva, Ekaterina Guseva, Evgeny Kungurov, Zara, Sergey Voitenko, Askar Abdrazakov, Nonna Grishaeva, Jasmine, Sergey Volchkov, popular performers: Taisiya Povaliy, Irina Dubtsova, Gleb Matveychuk, Elena Sever, Alexander Panayotov, Vanya Dmitrienko, Gleb Matveychuk, Anastasia Makeeva, Aglaya Shilovskaya, Alexey Tatarintsev, Alexander Shalunov, Max Lidov, Deya, Alexandra Vorobyova, musical groups: the group "Soprano Turetsky", the group "Dune", Obraztsovo-pokazatelny Orchestra of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Art Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev and others.
The choir of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Guard performed the following popular songs: "If I were a Sultan" from the film "Kidnapping, Caucasian Style, or Shurik's New Adventures" (with the participation of the Anna Kuznetsova Dance Theater) (soloists: Evgeny Kungurov, Sergey Voitenko, Askar Abdrazakov), "Marusya" from the film "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession" (with the participation of the Model Folk Dance Ensemble "Carousel" and the Creative Center of Angelina Shkarupina "Brosko") (soloist - Sergey Volchkov).
The concert ended with the song "There is only a moment" from the film "Sannikov Land" performed by the choir of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev (soloist - People's Artist of the RSFSR Lev Leshchenko).
The concert was hosted by Yana Churikova and People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Kharatyan.
