tour with a concert in Nizhnekamsk
The Rosgvardia Song and Dance Ensemble continues its tour of the cities of the Republic of Tatarstan. This concert tour is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Ensemble's founding. After performing in Naberezhnye Chelny on June 15, 2023, the Ensemble held a grand concert in Nizhnekamsk on June 16.
Despite its young age (Nizhnekamsk was granted city status only in 1966), it is now a major industrial, sports, and cultural center, and the third-largest city in Tatarstan in terms of population. Nizhnekamsk is renowned not only for its thriving industrial sector (primarily in the petrochemical industry) but also for its abundance of natural and architectural attractions. The city boasts a harmonious blend of Russian and Tatar cultures, with a diverse population of various ethnicities and religious backgrounds.
The House of Folk Art of Nizhnekamsk, located on Lemayev Square, is the center of cultural life for the city's residents. Today, on June 16, 2023, it welcomed esteemed guests - the Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by its artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.
