On April 19, 2022, in Rostov-on-Don, the first performance of the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation was held as part of a concert tour in the cities of the Southern and North Caucasus Districts of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation in support of the actions of the National Guard Troops and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the special operation to liberate Ukraine from neo-Nazis. The performance was led by the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.

The ensemble's concert took place in the Golden Hall of the Don Plaza Hotel. The renowned Rosgvardia Ensemble is well-known to the residents of the city, as they have performed numerous times in Rostov-on-Don. This time, the concert was organized for the residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, who are temporarily residing in the Rostov Region, as well as for the members of the Rosgvardia and the residents of the city. The Golden Hall of the Don Plaza Hotel, with its capacity of 400 spectators, was fully booked.

At the beginning of the concert, the choir performed the song "Workers of War" (music by Evgeny Shiryaev, lyrics by Ilya Reznik). The concert program featured well-known and beloved songs from the Great Patriotic War, such as "March of the Artillerymen" (T. Khrennikov, V. Gusev) and "Song of the Frontline Driver" (B. Mokrousov, B. Laskin).

The audience enjoyed the dance group's performance of the choreographic composition "Zolotaya Khokhloma" (directed by Petr Kovalev, an Honored Artist of Russia), as well as the original performance of the popular song "I'll Take You to the Tundra" (music by M. Fradkin, lyrics by M. Plyatskovsky, performed by Ruslan Samozhapov and Norpol Tsydenov, Honored Workers of Culture of the Republic of Buryatia).

G. Seleznev's song "You Know, I Want to Live" was very moving, dedicated to the memory of all military personnel who gave their lives in the line of duty (performed by Alexey Dmitriev, an Honored Artist of Russia).

The audience warmly received each musical number of the concert, and thanked the ensemble's performers with long, continuous applause.

The Rosgvardia Ensemble organized a collection of humanitarian aid for residents of the Donbas regions. More than two tons of humanitarian cargo, including food, basic necessities, clothing, children's goods, and other essential items, were transferred to the Temporary Accommodation Center for Refugees in Rostov-on-Don at the end of the concert.

On April 20, 2022, the ensemble will arrive in the city of Novocherkassk, where they will perform a concert for military personnel undergoing rehabilitation treatment at a military hospital.
