The end of the Ensemble's grand tour in China

The end of the Ensemble's grand tour in China

Autumn in China is perhaps the best time of the year. Golden leaves on the trees, silence in the city parks, warm sun at noon, and pleasant autumn coolness in the evening. But the cultural life in the cities and provinces of China never stops for a moment.

One of the most significant cultural and artistic events this autumn was the tour of the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, which took place as part of the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

The work of the renowned Russian vocal and choreographic ensemble, led by the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the ensemble, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, is well-known to the Chinese audience. The ensemble's history of concert performances in the People's Republic of China spans over two decades, but this tour is the most extensive to date.

The ensemble's creative team prepared a new concert program for the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

The Chinese audience has long loved the Russian folk songs "Along the St. Petersburg Road" and the world-famous "Kalinka", but the most popular among the audience are songs performed by soloists of the ensemble in Chinese, such as "Oh, Yangtze" performed by Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Volzhanin, "China-the Sun does not go down" (soloist - Grigory Yakovlev), "Good Men" (soloist – Evgeny Filyanov)," Without the Communist Party - there would be no China " performed by the choir and orchestra.

The Chinese folk song "The Song of the Sea" performed by Natalia Eliseeva, an Honored Artist of Russia, is especially popular with the audience. At every concert, this folk song is sung by all the audience members in the hall, along with the soloist and the ensemble's choir. Natalia Eliseeva's unforgettable performance and exceptional vocal abilities leave a lasting impression on the audience. They often request an encore performance of this song.

The number of fans of the ensemble in China is growing every year. Recalling their impressions from the ensemble's previous tours, many viewers come to the concerts again with their families and friends.

As part of the big tour, 27 concerts were held in 23 cities in China. The Russian artists' performances captured the hearts of audiences in Beijing, Fulin, Guotai, Guiyang, Qingdao, Foshan, Shunde, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Haikou, and many other cities.

Chinese vocal groups took part in the Ensemble's concert performances in Beijing and Hefei. The joint performance of works by Chinese composers ended with unceasing applause from the audience.

The long-lasting tour of the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation is coming to an end, and soon the Ensemble will return to its homeland, leaving the Chinese people with boundless friendship and respect between our countries, love for the great Russian musical culture, and hope for new meetings and continued constructive, trusting, and friendly relations with their Chinese counterparts.
