Sergey Puskepalis is well known to Russians not only as a talented Russian actor and director, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, and a member of the Rosgvardia Council for Culture, but also as a symbol of patriotism, courage, kindness, and dedication.

Puskepalis constantly traveled to the front with humanitarian aid. He died in a car accident on September 20, 2022, while driving an armored Ford Transit minibus from Yaroslavl to Moscow, which he had purchased with his own funds for the defenders of Donbass. For his courage and bravery in fulfilling his civic duty, Sergey Puskepalis was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

In memory of Sergey Puskepalis, his family, friends, and colleagues established the Puskepalis Action Award in 2023. The Award is given to those who help soldiers in the special military operation zone and residents of the reunified Russian regions out of their hearts.

The third ceremony of the Sergey Puskepalis Action Award was held on September 20, 2025, at the Petr Fomenko Workshop Theatre.

The event was hosted by People's Artist of Russia Alexander Domogarov and popular Russian theater and film actress Ekaterina Klimova.

The live video broadcast of the ceremony allowed millions of Russians to participate in it directly.

One of the highlights of the concert program was the performance by the artists of the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Arts Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General, Hero of Labor of Russia Viktor Eliseev.

The choir and soloist of the Ensemble – Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia Igor Safonov – performed the romance “Not for me” (N. Devitte – A. Molchanov). The performance was warmly received by the audience.

The "Act" Award brings together people of different professions, residents of different regions of Russia, and true heroes of our time – people whose deeds speak louder than any words. Like Sergey Puskepalis, they did not pass by someone else's misfortune, showing courage, kindness, and strength of spirit. Participating in the "Act" Award ceremony is a significant event for the Ensemble's artists.
