Performance in Salekhard as part of the "Songs of the War Years" grand tour
The Grand Tour of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation across Russian cities dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory continues.
Residents of the cities of the Ural Federal District are eagerly awaiting the performances of the world-famous military ensemble. The day before, the Rosgvardia Ensemble arrived in Yamal, which welcomed the Moscow artists with its Ural frosts.
Salekhard is the only city in the world located directly on the Arctic Circle. On February 21, 2020, a festive concert by the ensemble called "Songs of War Years" was held at the Cultural and Business Center in Salekhard.
Among the guests in the hall were veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers, employees of the National Guard and their families, and employees of military units and law enforcement agencies.
At the beginning of the festive concert, the song "You Are My Russia" by composer Serafim Tulikov and poet Sergei Ostrovoy was performed. Older listeners remember the first performer of this song, People's Artist of the USSR Lyudmila Zykina. For many years, this remarkable song was undeservedly forgotten. In the concert, the song was performed by Natalia Eliseeva, an Honored Artist of Russia. The ensemble's soloist's excellent vocal abilities and the vibrant, unforgettable performance of the song about Russia elicited thunderous and prolonged applause from the audience.
The concert program is based on songs from the Great Patriotic War: "The Holy War," "The Artillerymen's March," "The Frontline Driver's Song," "Smuglyanka," and many others.
The ensemble's repertoire includes musical works of various genres: songs by Soviet composers, popular classics, folk songs, and global pop hits.
The ensemble's choreographic group performed original dance performances dedicated to the heroic deeds of our people during the Great Patriotic War.
The festive concert traditionally ended with the song "Victory Day" by composer David Tukhmanov and poet Vladimir Kharitonov, performed by soloists and the choir of the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation.
The concert hall's audience warmly thanked the ensemble's performers with continuous applause.
The big tour "Songs of the War Years" of the Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation under the direction of the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Yeliseyev, continues. The next concert of the ensemble will take place on Defender of the Fatherland Day at the Tyumen Regional Philharmonic.
