In Tyumen, the Ensemble congratulated the citizens on Defender of the Fatherland Day
On Defender of the Fatherland Day, the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation performed a concert in the capital of the Tyumen Region as part of the Immortal Songs of the Great Country music marathon.
The creative team of the National Guard, led by the head of the artistic department and chief conductor of the ensemble, People's Artist of the RSFSR, Major General Viktor Yeliseyev, provided a magnificent celebration for representatives of state authorities, veterans, National Guard officers, residents of Tyumen, and guests of the city.
In the concert hall of the Tyumen Philharmonic, the audience greeted each number of the program with thunderous applause, singing along with the artists who performed the well-known and beloved songs "Smuglyanka," "Kalinka," "I'm Taking You to the Tundra," and others. With tears in their eyes, they listened to the compositions from the war years and enthusiastically accepted the performances of the ensemble's choreographic group.
At the end of the program, the soloists and the choir of the collective performed the song "Victory Day" by the composer David Tukhmanov, with lyrics by Vladimir Kharitonov. The Tyumen residents sang along standing up, and the atmosphere in the hall was one of unity, remembrance, and gratitude to those who sacrificed their strength and lives to achieve the Great Victory over Nazi Germany.
"Today, on Defender of the Fatherland Day, it is a great honor for us to work for you. We would like to thank you for your wonderful reception, flowers, and smiles. We can hear your hearts and applause, and it means a lot to us," said Major General Viktor Yeliseyev, the artistic director of the ensemble, addressing the audience. He also expressed gratitude to the Government of the Tyumen Region, specifically to Elena Mayer, the Director of the Region's Department of Culture, for their assistance and organization of the tour, as well as to Alexander Berezin, the Director of the Philharmonic, for their support in hosting the concert.
In his response, the Mayor of the city, Ruslan Kukhark, spoke very warmly about the performance of the artists in uniform: "The impressions are simply magnificent, and the emotions are overwhelming. When I learned that the Academic Ensemble of the National Guard was going to perform in Tyumen on Defender of the Fatherland Day, I thought how lucky the citizens were. We have received an unforgettable gift on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Thank you very much!"
The Tyumen residents did not let the artists leave the stage for a long time, thanking them with prolonged applause and cheers.
The ensemble's tour in the region will continue with a concert in Tobolsk and another performance in Tyumen.
