"The Light of a Mother's Soul" was the name of the festive concert dedicated to Mother's Day, which took place on November 25, 2023, at the Palace of Culture of the Railway Workers in the Fokinsky District of Bryansk.

The event was attended by mothers whose sons are currently in the combat zone of the special military operation, as well as mothers of heroes who showed courage in fulfilling their military duty. Not all soldiers returned from the battlefields. The memory of the fallen was honored with a minute of silence.

"This hall is filled with mothers who raised the defenders of the Fatherland, who gave their lives for our future. I would like to bow deeply to you for your sons. Your love, your indescribable sense of pride and remembrance for your sons, your patience and courage are worthy of the deepest respect," said Vitaly Svintsov, Acting Deputy Governor of the Bryansk Region.

Throughout the evening, the guests were treated to heartfelt songs about love – love for their mothers, love for their homeland, and songs about loyalty to their sons and their country.

The concert was attended by soloists of the choir of the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Arts of the Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.

They performed songs beloved by several generations of Russians: "Love Russia" (S. Tulikov - O. Milyavsky), "Ogonyok" (lyrics by M. Isakovsky), and "Lizaveta" (H.Bogoslovsky-E. Dolmatovsky), "Russian Field" (Ya. Frenkel-I. Goff), "Thank You" (A. Babajanyan – R. Rozhdestvensky), "I love you, life" (E. Kolmanovsky-K. Participation in a festival dedicated to the composer A. P. Averkin

One of the glorious traditions of Russian musical culture is the annual (since 1997) All-Russian Festival of Folk Art in memory of Alexander Averkin, an Honored Artist of Russia and a composer, held in the Sasovo Municipal District of the Ryazan Region. In 2026, the XXIX All-Russian Festival of Folk Art, dedicated to the composer A.P. Averkin, combines two themes. The main theme of the event is the memory and creative legacy of Alexander Petrovich Averkin, the author of over 800 works that remain popular today. But the fact that this year's festival is being held in the composer's homeland gives it a special significance. Exactly 100 years ago, in the summer of 1926, the village of Sasovo was officially declared a city by the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee.
