"Victory Dictation"
On the eve of the Great National Holiday — the Day of Victory of the Soviet People over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 — the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Gora held a grand opening ceremony of the International Patriotic Historical and Educational Action "Victory Dictation".
Held on the initiative of the United Russia party with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, "Victory Dictation" today stands on a par with such traditional actions as "St. George's Ribbon" and "Immortal Regiment". This year it is being held for the sixth time.
As noted by the Chairman of the Russian Historical Society, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, "The main goal of the action is to preserve the connection between generations, to protect the truth about the Great Patriotic War. Nowadays, tens of thousands of Russian soldiers, following the example of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, with weapons in hand defend the borders of our Motherland, our country from neo-Nazi evil. And many millions of people help the front. In this regard, the "Victory Dictation" is not only an educational, but also a large-scale civil action. One of the ways to emphasize the connection and involvement in the fate of our country".
According to the Head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, coordinator of the "Historical Memory" project of the "United Russia" party Alexander Khinshtein, the number of participants in the action this year may exceed two million people.
The Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov emphasized that the Ministry of Education pays special attention to the historical education of schoolchildren. New state textbooks for high school students have already been prepared, which, among other things, tell about the goals and objectives of the special military operation, the exploits of modern heroes, and the continuity of generations. He expressed confidence that the increased attention paid to the heroic pages of Russian history would yield results, and wished all participants in the event to cope with the tasks of the "Victory Dictation" with dignity.
The dictation participants will have to answer various test questions - they are dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of the city of Leningrad, the withdrawal of Soviet troops beyond the borders of the USSR, biographies of front-line writers, and many memorable dates of the Great Patriotic War.
The team of the Academic Order "For Merit in Culture and Art" Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev considers it a great honor to participate in the opening ceremony of the "Victory Dictation". This is not the first time that the renowned group has taken part in this historical and educational event held at the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill.
Before the start of the Dictation, the Ensemble choir sang uplifting patriotic songs: "Song of War Correspondents" (M. Blanter - K. Simonov; soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Alexey Kholyavko) and "Song of a Frontline Driver" (B. Mokrousov - B. Laskin; soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Evgeny Yakhin), as well as - together with the artists of the Children's Musical Theater "Domisolka" - "We are United! Invincible!" (E. Muravyov - A. Garnizov).
All participants of the "Victory Dictation" event listened to the artists' performances with great attention and deep feeling.
