The New Year is approaching, a holiday that is loved by everyone in our country, from young to old. But of course, children are the ones who enjoy this holiday the most.

Children have a special place in the Ensemble. Children's Studio (Children's Ensemble) of the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Art of the Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Hero of Labor of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev, is a true "forge" of young talents.

Today, the Children's Ensemble includes more than 200 children, including young artists from the choir group, ballet, mixed choir, and youth orchestra. Among them are many children of military personnel from the National Guard of the Russian Federation, children of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, and other law enforcement agencies. Musical culture, vocal and choreographic art, serve as a unifying foundation for nurturing young talents, true patriots, and future defenders of the Motherland.

On the eve of the New Year holidays – December 22, 2025 – the Ensemble recorded a New Year's video with the participation of the choir and dance groups of the Children's Studio. The musical background of the composition was the song "Come to Us, New Year!" by Rustam Salakhov on the lyrics of Anastasia Trofimova, performed by the young soloist – the Snow Maiden Vika Kuzmenkova.

The New Year is unthinkable without Father Frost. Of course, on this pre-holiday day, the kind wizard (Trofim Skakov) could not ignore the young artists of the Children's Studio of the Ensemble. He warmly congratulated the children on the upcoming New Year, wished them good health and great success in their studies and creative endeavors, and, of course, presented them with the long-awaited gifts.

Participation in a festival dedicated to the composer A. P. Averkin

One of the glorious traditions of Russian musical culture is the annual (since 1997) All-Russian Festival of Folk Art in memory of Alexander Averkin, an Honored Artist of Russia and a composer, held in the Sasovo Municipal District of the Ryazan Region. In 2026, the XXIX All-Russian Festival of Folk Art, dedicated to the composer A.P. Averkin, combines two themes. The main theme of the event is the memory and creative legacy of Alexander Petrovich Averkin, the author of over 800 works that remain popular today. But the fact that this year's festival is being held in the composer's homeland gives it a special significance. Exactly 100 years ago, in the summer of 1926, the village of Sasovo was officially declared a city by the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee.
