Concert of the Ensemble in the Rachmaninoff Hall

The artists of the Academic Order "For Merit in Culture and Art" of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev were received today, November 29, 2024, by the main stage of "Philharmonic-2".

Built in the Olympic Village for the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, the concert complex was transferred to the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic after reconstruction in the spring of 2014. One of the priority stage venues of the complex is the concert hall named after the great Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff. Thanks to excellent acoustics and state-of-the-art equipment, both a large symphony orchestra and a chamber ensemble can perform in the concert hall named after S.V. Rachmaninoff. The transformable stage is perfect for dance ensembles and ballet troupes, as well as for various theatrical productions.

This is not the first time that the Eliseevtsy have performed on this wonderful stage. Each concert of the famous group is always sold out. Today's concert, "Guards of Music", was no exception.

The concert opened with the performance of the vocal and choreographic composition "Valor and Honor" (music and lyrics by A. Zaitsev, production by Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Ivan Zhelnov, soloist - Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Dmitriev).

The audience warmly welcomed the songs of the war years and the works of Soviet composers, beloved by several generations of our compatriots.

The applause in the hall did not stop for a long time after the performance of the People's Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva, who performed the songs "He's going on leave" (A. Averkin - V. Bokov) and "I want to please you, my dear" (A. Averkin) accompanied by the choir and orchestra of the Ensemble.

The performers of vocal and choreographic compositions gave the audience a lot of positive emotions: "Barynya" (music by A. Rozenblat, production by Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Ivan Zhelnov), "Gypsy Fantasy" (composition and arrangement by I. Golubev and I. Kadomtsev, choreography by Artur Bogdanov, soloists: People's Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva, Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Dmitriev, Evgeny Nasonov) and "Guards of Music" (music and lyrics by A. Melnikov, production by Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Ivan Zhelnov, soloist - Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Artem Melnikov). The composition that gave the name to today's concert was performed by the artists of the "Eliseevsky" Ensemble for the first time.

The highlight of the concert was the sparkling dances "Home with Victory" (staged by Honored Artist of Russia A. Safronov, arranged by A. Zarkov, soloist - Vsevolod Krepsky) and "Dance with Sabres" from Aram Khachaturian's ballet "Gayane" (staged by Honored Artist of Russia Pyotr Kovalev).

One of the most beloved numbers in the Ensemble's repertoire for many years has been the comic song "I'll Take You to the Tundra" (M. Fradkin - M. Plyatskovsky, soloists - Honored Artists of the Republic of Buryatia Norpol Tsydenov and Ruslan Samozhapov). Of course, the artists of the Ensemble could not please the audience with an original performance of this composition even today.

A wonderful tradition in the work of the Ensemble is the inclusion of world classics in each concert program. Today's concert featured the aria Carmen "Habanera" from the opera of the same name by Georges Bizet, brilliantly performed by People's Artist of Russia Lolita Semenina.

Real art is close and understandable to people of all ages. "I was born in the Soviet Union" is the name of the hit by People's Artist of Russia Oleg Gazmanov, the performance of which (soloists: Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Dmitriev and Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Alexey Kholyavko) was sung along by the entire audience.

The concert traditionally ended with the march "Farewell of Slavyanka" (V. Agapkin - A. Fedotov) performed by the choir and orchestra of the Ensemble.

At the end of the concert, the head of the Ensemble, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev took the floor. On behalf of all the artists of the Ensemble, he warmly thanked the audience for their interest in the work of the group and expressed his readiness to continue to delight Russians with his art.

The concert was hosted by Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of Russia Colonel Igor Shustikov.

Participation in a festival dedicated to the composer A. P. Averkin

One of the glorious traditions of Russian musical culture is the annual (since 1997) All-Russian Festival of Folk Art in memory of Alexander Averkin, an Honored Artist of Russia and a composer, held in the Sasovo Municipal District of the Ryazan Region. In 2026, the XXIX All-Russian Festival of Folk Art, dedicated to the composer A.P. Averkin, combines two themes. The main theme of the event is the memory and creative legacy of Alexander Petrovich Averkin, the author of over 800 works that remain popular today. But the fact that this year's festival is being held in the composer's homeland gives it a special significance. Exactly 100 years ago, in the summer of 1926, the village of Sasovo was officially declared a city by the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee.
