Today, passengers on the Moscow Metro witnessed an unusual event: the launch of the themed train "Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol".

The train's design features the most striking and recognizable images of Crimea. Each car has its own unique content, showcasing the landmarks of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. Muscovites and visitors to the capital can explore the stunning natural beauty of the peninsula, including its mountains, famous beaches, cultural heritage sites, palaces, and fortresses, and learn interesting facts about Crimea. The train's design is designed to create a sense of "being there."

The Moscow Metro already has a practice of branding trains with different themes, but this is the first time such a project has been implemented for Crimea and Sevastopol.

The solemn ceremony of the launch of the Crimean train was attended by the Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, led by the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseev.

The song "Crimean Spring" by the composer A. Yevsyukov on the verses of V. Klimkovich, accompanied by a choir, was performed by the head of the famous collective, People's Artist of Russia, Major General Viktor Eliseeev and Honored Artist of Russia Natalia Eliseeva. Those present at the solemn ceremony warmly welcomed the artists with a storm of prolonged applause.

"Sevastopol Waltz"... This song, written back in 1955 by the composer Konstantin Listov and the poet Georgy Rublev, has long been considered the unofficial anthem of the Hero City of Sevastopol. This popular song was performed by the ensemble's soloist, Grigory Yakovlev.

The Crimean train departed on its first voyage to the sound of the legendary song "Farewell, Slavonic Woman" by composer V. Agapkin, based on the lyrics by A. Fedotov, performed by the choir of the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation.

The themed train "Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol" will run on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line for 6 months.

The project was made possible thanks to the support of the Moscow Government. The launch ceremony was attended by representatives of the legislative and executive authorities of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The event was held to mark the eighth anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia.
