The ensemble took part in the opening ceremony of the IV International Film Festival "Victory Day"

This year, our country, together with all progressive humanity, celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Victory over the Nazi invaders. Throughout the year, military-patriotic events will be held throughout Russia, aimed at perpetuating the memory of those who gave their lives for the freedom of the Fatherland, who brought this great day – Victory Day-closer with their unparalleled military and labor feats!

One of these events was the IV International Film Festival "Victory Day", held in Moscow and the Moscow region from 2022. The festival program is very rich, it includes both competitive and non-competitive screenings of films about the Great Patriotic War and the events of the Special Military Operation. In addition to films made by Soviet and contemporary Russian directors, the audience will see films of foreign production-shot in different years in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as (for the first time in Russia!) - Films of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The opening ceremony of the festival took place today, April 13 at the Poklonka cinema at the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Gora. Speaking at the beginning of the ceremony, President of the IV International Film Festival "Victory Day" Sergey Rusakov noted the importance of holding such events to preserve the national memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, the price that the Soviet people paid for the victory over the enemy.

Honorary guests of the event were Hero of Russia pilot-cosmonaut Sergey Avdeev, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Russian Union of Rescuers Evgeny Cherny, World Chess Cup winner Sergey Karyakin, Honored Artist of the RSFSR Larisa Luzhina, representatives of the Embassies of the DPRK and the Republic of Kazakhstan in Russia, employees of the Russian State Archive of Film and Photographic Documents, the State Film Fund of the Russian Federation, heads of the Charity Foundation "Geography of the Heart" Moscow Regional Charitable Foundation "MAMA" and others.

The performance of the patriotic song "Holy War" (A. Alexandrov-V. Lebedev – Kumach) by the choir of the Academic Order "For Merits in Culture and Art" of the Song and Dance ensemble of the National Guard troops of the Russian Federation under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist of Russia, Major General, Hero of Labor of Russia Viktor Eliseev, gave a special solemnity to the ceremony.), which has become for several generations of Russians a kind of anthem for the defense of the Fatherland.

The audience applauded the artists of the Ensemble's dance group who brilliantly performed the rousing dance "Home with Victory" (staged by Honored Artist of Russia A. Safronov, arranged by A. Zarkov).

As part of the festival's opening ceremony, the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Lei, Pesnya!", popular actress, singer and TV presenter Anastasia Makeeva also performed.

The event was hosted by Dmitry Nesterov, a finalist of the Voice program, and Anastasia Volynskaya, an actress.

Participation in a festival dedicated to the composer A. P. Averkin

One of the glorious traditions of Russian musical culture is the annual (since 1997) All-Russian Festival of Folk Art in memory of Alexander Averkin, an Honored Artist of Russia and a composer, held in the Sasovo Municipal District of the Ryazan Region. In 2026, the XXIX All-Russian Festival of Folk Art, dedicated to the composer A.P. Averkin, combines two themes. The main theme of the event is the memory and creative legacy of Alexander Petrovich Averkin, the author of over 800 works that remain popular today. But the fact that this year's festival is being held in the composer's homeland gives it a special significance. Exactly 100 years ago, in the summer of 1926, the village of Sasovo was officially declared a city by the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee.

Recognition of merit

Following a long-standing tradition, on the eve of the summer vacation season, the Academic Order of Merit in Culture and Arts Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation held a general meeting of the collective. At the meeting held on July 1, 2026, the artistic director and chief conductor of the Ensemble, People's Artist of Russia, Major General, and Hero of Labor of Russia, Viktor Petrovich Eliseev, summarized the results of the collective's creative activities for the period from January to June 2026. He proudly noted the consistently high level of the artists’ performing skills and the Ensemble’s rich concert program, which was highly successful with the audience, including during the tour performances across the country and performances at the country’s iconic venues – the State Kremlin Palace, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the Great Hall of the Conservatory, the Church Cathedral Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, as well as at the Main Clinical Hospital of the National Guard in Balashikha. He emphasized the great contribution of the Ensemble’s artists to the patriotic education of the younger generation and the support of the military personnel’s fighting spirit.
